We've been in high 90's to 104 for at least 10 days. Two major storms that knocked out lots of trees and electric. Tomorrow was supposed to bring relief of a sort, in the high 80's. Revised:

I'd go to a hotel, I HATE sweating. I think I'd die indoors in 100 degree weather! I have the central running here keeping the house at about 74, but here in this room I have a wall unit and it's 66 in here!

Ah, but one night would be more than a week's salary right now. Funny thing, the utilities still like to be paid. ;)

It happens every year about this time. We have called it SUMMER since I was born, and it was called Summer, long before that.

Summer time in the Northern Hemisphere is usually HOT.
Much like this same time in the Southern Hemisphere is usually COLD.

Wait until the 21st of September, when FALL officially arrives.
Then, the 21st of December, when Winter officially arrives.

And this seems to happen EVERY YEAR. Right on schedule.

The weatherfolk got it wrong, again. In garage my car thermostat said, "102." While driving to library it went to 103. Ran in there and went to pick up aspirin. On the road again, went to 105. Stopped at grocery, in and out in 10 minutes. 108. It's not 3pm, yet.

Crap, supposed to be about 104 or higher here tomorrow, with the "real feel" temps around 110-115. I'll be at the gym by 8am or so, and then back in the air conditioning until Monday!

We've had that the last 2 days and will again today. Tomorrow 'relief' mid-90's. Sunday right now is predicted to be in high 80's, but a couple days ago, that was forecast for today. I'm melting!

It's 86 in the shade here. It was supposed to be 100, but we had a mild thunderstorm last night and that seems to have cooled things off a little. Tomorrow could be a problem, though.

it's about 100 here with NO rain in the forecast. Boys are all in the pool, but the water is pretty warm so I'm not sure how refreshing it is

They can always run down to the lake to cool off also.

I don't care about the heat so much, but I do wish it would rain.

We're in our second week of high 90's, and Heat Indexes of 100 to 105.
We had planned on getting a huge tree cut down the week before that storm hit in MD, VA, and DC. So, most of the tree service people, with their Chain-saws are out of town, helping to clear up the mess where a Million people lost power for six days now.

I think official temps are taken n the shade like 20 ft above the ground or something because of radiant energy.

Through the three days we were in the Dallas area, the temps were close to 100 degrees each day. Middle to high 90s the night we were at the Rangers game in Arlington.
Since we have returned home, the thermometer has yet to pass 75 at any point during the day. Which is why we live here.

The weather here has been brutal. Yesterday we went up to 105, 2 or 3 degrees cooler than Thurs, but WTF? Over 100 again today.

However I got up early. Ran to the grocery. Came home, put away stuff. Changed to exercise clothes, grabbed a couple bottle Dasani and walked two miles, before 9 am. It was only 88F. Showered and am chilling. Work at 3.

Better yet, cast aside everything and go to the beach. Might be a bit cool here to do that. High today isn't suppose to rise out of the mid 60's.

The heat wave here has broken!

Went to work at 3, it was 101, though the radio was reporting that the lake front was 82.

Customers started saying around 4 that it was cooling off, it was down to 95. By 5 it was down to 85. 6:00, 80. Got off work at 11, it was 75! Ahhhh!!!!

Today has been gorgeous! Normally I'm hot at 85, but not after the past 10 days. The coming week is looking good, but dry:

Having beautiful weather between monsoon's, mudslides, fires, and Earthquakes still can't make some of us leave the comfort of Lower Taxes, and English speaking Legal residents as neighbors who know how living in a LIBERAL state, punishes everyone.
