RIP Soldiers :salute:

Nearly 47 years after their Air Force plane went down on a combat mission in Laos, six servicemembers who had previously been unaccounted for will be given a new resting place.

Remains of the six Air Force servicemen will be buried Monday in a joint casket with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.

Their plane, nicknamed "Spooky," went down on Christmas Eve 1965 in southern Laos after sending out a mayday signal.

Joint investigation teams from the U.S. and Laos have conducted interviews and excavations off and on since 1995 in search of the crew, but remains were not recovered until 2010 and 2011. Dental records and other evidence led the teams to conclude that the remains belonged to the six servicemembers.

Anyone remember the discussion that took place about WHO should be called a Hero, and how that word is being overused...as in Hollywood, and on Basketball courts?

Arlington is where the REAL HERO'S go after most Americans forget how Lucky, or Fortunate they are to Be Americans.
