Because I got it like that - I drove to Boston over the weekend..near boston anyway..not boston propper.

I did the trip - left about 11pm and drove all night, to hang out with folks who own the same breed dog I have. Total trip was about 1560 miles. Am beaten up, exhausted, sore.

I crossed most of the state of New York - first time! To the 47 D-Bags as I crossed the state during the nighttime hours I say "Hey jackwagon...did you know the freeway median does NOT absorb the light from your car's HIGH BEAMS? A flat patch of grass doesn't collect anything from your car's headlights. Your lights blind folks in front of you...and...get this...those across the f'ing street, too!"

(sigh) :)

Few fotos of the Dog day...

That dog has the most intelligent look in its eyes of any dog I've seen. :thumb:

Well...was also a 'get me away from here' for a couple days...served that purpose, too.

I think this is a wonderful idea. Speaking as someone who has made cross country pilgrimages to see Fenway Park and the Baseball Hall of Fame, I endorse road trips for personal reasons. My sister and I have both traveled to Germany to see where our mom grew up.

Of course, if you had made a 1,560-mile trip to meet cat lovers, the people would have been wonderful. The cats would have sneered and gone back to sleep.

So was this a play date or for possible breeding? I've loved all my dogs dearly, but have never traveled more than 4 hours with a dog and don't want to. Any longer than that and it's gonna ride on the roof with Romney's dog.

Beautiful pictures Darin! Sounds like fun .... at least you know she's completely 'car-broke' now.

I always take my dogs on the 2,000 mile round trip to AZ and back. They know they get out twice during the 14 hour trip ... each time I fill with gas. They just get in the back, lay down and enjoy the long snooze.

Hope you had a great time and the time away helped.

I love dogs and all; yours is no exception; but my interest in your photos has grown from being impressed to coveting...I might need to add you to my ignore list to save myself.

I'm not sure I wanna breed anymore...I mean, I would love another child - but its not in the cards...

Oh! You meant to breed the DOG?? :)

Yes ma'am. Really helped. Course, today I think it caught up with me as i overslept by four hours! :)

Speaking of gas - my car did pretty well; averaged just under 21mpg! Once I had 24mpg on a tank. Generally gets about 17.5mpg in mixed driving, commuting. Oh the joys of having a 1.3L!! :( Someday I think I'll buy a V8 to get better fuel economy.

Mad skills bro. I read your flicker acct and you'd said you were displeased with your results...that was awhile ago though. You still shooting for art, or just documentary?
