FBI to review thousands of old cases for contaminated evidence

Months after the Washington Post revealed (http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/convicted-defendants-left-uninformed-of-forensic-flaws-found-by-justice-dept/2012/04/16/gIQAWTcgMT_story.html) that lab technicians at the FBI mishandled evidence, resulting in at least three wrongful convictions, the Department of Justice has announced it will review of thousands of old cases.

i heard an interview with an FBI Whistle blower about this, he said it's made him sick to know that innocent people where in jail over some the sloppy work some of the people in the labs were doing.
glad to see cases are being reexamined. he was concerned that the CYA attitude at the FBI wouldn't allow the review of cases.
