Why?
Because when you think you are superior to every other non-believing human on earth, the bullshit filters into your puny brain and fills it with hate. Then because you hate you realise others must hate what you represent because its so vile. Rather change you act out in a violent manner with the thought that it is just better to just kill those that disagree than have to ever acknowledge they are right, you are a vile creature bent on murder and enslavement of others. Thats the ones that can actually think a little bit, the other 90% just play follow the cult leader.-;)--Tyr

Victim Fallacy (http://aphilosopher.wordpress.com/2010/09/17/victim-fallacy/)

Description:

This fallacy occurs when a person uncritically assumes that the cause of a perceived mistreatment (such as not being hired or receiving a poor grade) is due to prejudice (such as sexism or racism) on the part of the person or persons involved in the perceived mistreatment. The form of “reasoning” is as follows:
1. Person P believes s/he is being mistreated by person or persons M.
2. Person P regards himself or herself as a member of group G and believes this group has been subject to prejudice. Or P believes that M regards him/her as a member of G.
3. P uncritically concludes that his/her perceived mistreatment is the result of prejudice against G on the part of M.

Think about this suggestion in reference to the question asked by this thread.

Like American Liberal, Democrat, Progressives who have been trained to always demand that everyone else MUST follow, and believe everything they are told by their SO-CALLED Leaders. Those we normally call politicians here in America. They are easily convinced to be followers, and always accept FALSE TRUTHS, and FALSE PROPHETS....like OBL, and now OBAMA in order to gain, and keep their power over the uneducated, dependents of government.

Like American Democrats. Muslims who live in other nations are so easily led. They can be convinced, or brainwashed into believing WEARING A BOMB BELT..if a Muslim, or VOTING FOR OBAMA if Democrat....are nearly the same comparable facts of life.

Simple as that. Liberal, Democrat Americans are easily convinced to be OFFENDED...by such things as FALSE facts, and Political Correctness. Not to mention ignoring the Laws of Man by using the excuse. They DO NOT BELIEVE in any God, or any Ten Commandments that would make MURDER a sin. So...Terrorists, and Many Democrats in America DENY being sinners because THEY DON'T BELIEVE in anything but GOVERNMENT.

Because they want so much to be easily offended, of course.

It gives them more points in the eyes of their life-controlling religious leaders.

Exactly the case. Their lives are controlled by religious leaders. The same way many dictatorships are controlled by secular leaders.
If you examine the situation through Western eyes, you wonder why they are such sick animals. But what if you are programmed from birth to be a sick animal?
It is the same principle that cults operate. How else can you explain Jonestown?

You can lock up Charles Manson, not so a billion people. Perhaps we should have an American policy towards countries in the ME that doesn't exacerbate their internal issues with the constant manipulation that we seem to engage in.

How about -FIRST- addressing the issue of murdering when one's god is mocked! Thats seems a bit more important since innocent people being murdered takes precedence over submitting(ignoring) piss attacks called art! One is violent actions taken(by muslims) the other is no action taken(by Christians). -Tyr

Christians have murdered for blasphemy before.

Death for Blasphemy
One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD's name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother's name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD's will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Anyone who blasphemes the LORD's name must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the LORD's name will surely die. Agreed, it's called forgiveness and turning the other cheek. Art and insults don't truly hurt ones religion or beliefs. It's how man or woman responds to such trivial things that shows our true colors. If one wants to mock my god with such infancy, so be it, I am learning to turn the other cheek. I certainly won't kill as a result of my hurt feelings.

No doubt, I won't deny it. But as humans, men and women, we learn and grow and become more civilized. You don't keep evil inside you for eternity and kill when someone insults or disagrees with you. Centuries old activities aren't good for current debates. There's really only one religion out there murdering on a grand scale for the pettiest of things, and beating their women and treating entire countries like slaves and women as dogs. I'll let you decide which one that is, it makes no difference to me if you refuse to see the reality of TODAY and not yesteryear to make your debate.

You do realize that you're quoting Old Testament which details PRE-CHRISTIAN thinking. That's a HUGE goof! In the interest in playing Devil's Advocate and assisting someone making a post with the logical capacity of a toddler, I will actually help you. A better justification for your argument would be the Salem Witch Trials. However, I don't see many Christian condoning them.

Continue to deny, Dillo. The verses in the Quran and Hadiths are still followed today and people still kill as a result of them today. Yes, TODAY. You won't find that happening but rarely as a result of the Bible, and you sure won't find many priests teaching it and raising children to become suicide bombers. Again, one has evolved, one hasn't. You're continued denial fools no one and the reality is there for ALL to see as easy as 2 + 2.

Current criminals are USING ancient texts to validate current crimes. The koran is not jumping inside the peoples heads and controlling them. Like a gun the Koran just lies on a desk and is totally harmless until someone picks it up and uses it. How it is used depends on the person. If the person uses it for evil they should be convicted whether it's a Bible of a Koran.

I agree 100%. And if every person today who used either the Quran or Bible for evil were suddenly locked up - there would be a few million at minimum Muslims in jail and about 2% of that in Christians. JUST IN THE LAST 10 YEARS ALONE - there have been 19,634 deadly attacks by Muslims killing hundreds of thousands. In just the LAST WEEK ALONE - there have been 46 attacks resulting in 256 dead people and over 600 critically injured.

So yes, convict all evil doers and criminals, but at least have the courage to admit which is the more problematic one to our world in current times. These facts and numbers simply can't be denied. Well, if you're Muslim, or Abso or Jafar or Dillo, I suppose you CAN deny it, but it still won't make a difference or change those facts.

The mass murder (http://www.debatepolicy.com/wiki/Mass_murder) was described by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as the worst crime on European soil since the Second World War.[2] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-UN_SecGen_10th_anniv-1)[3] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-iwpr.net-2) A paramilitary unit from Serbia (http://www.debatepolicy.com/wiki/Republic_of_Serbia_(1990%E2%80%932006)) known as the Scorpions (http://www.debatepolicy.com/wiki/Scorpions_(paramilitary)), officially part of the Serbian Interior Ministry until 1991,[13] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-balkaninsight.com-12) participated in the massacre[14] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-ReferenceC-13)[6] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-Williams-5) and it is alleged that foreign volunteers including the Greek Volunteer Guard (http://www.debatepolicy.com/wiki/Greek_Volunteer_Guard) also participated.[15] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-Michas_2002-14)[16] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-tiscali.co.uk-15)[17] (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#cite_note-Todayszaman.com-16)

I see you're incapable of reading what I wrote and how I condemned those actions. You would rather discuss 17 year old news that I vehemently condemned already than discuss the current reality of TODAY.

The whole board will read this thread and see your dodging. I'm not going to allow you to get me worked up and play your little games like you do with Tyr and Drummond. I replied politely and supplied facts AND addressed what you posted, but you continue with the one liners. That's more or less trolling in my book. I guess you're incapable of intelligent thought and somehow over the years deluded yourself into thinking that you CAN make these great points with one liners. I got news for you, Dillo, you can't. Facts are facts and reality is reality. I posted and touched both sides, you posted one liners and are looking to get a rise. That's grade school stuff. I put the DISCUSS in red to show that all you did was once again reply with a one liner and completely ignore what I wrote. You have no interest in discussion, but want to use that word as a tool to somehow make yourself look better than others. Sorry man, I'll leave you to the little piranhas to be eaten like an injured fish.

Outside of that, have a good day, buddy. I just choose not to engage in this with you when you are not sincere.

Why is it that Koran verses are posted regularly and accepted as current reading to be taken literally when Bible verses are to be ignored and are only symbolic ? Double standard much ?
I could make this post longer too by adding insults as others choose to do but I think I won't.

All killing is wrong. Yesteday's, Today's and Tomorrow's. I don't care who did/does or will do it. Convict people for the crimes they commit. America doesn't have a national religion. We don't convict people for breaking religious laws.

That's because your theology is wrong even at the basic level. If you are going to hang something around the Chistian's neck, at least be correct about what you are saying. The line of your argument was so facile that I even tried to help you. Old testament scriptures are identified as no longer in force in the Bible itself.

Can you tell us the last time such a thing was done in the name of Jesus?

I would guess the Inquisition which was almost 700 years ago... But those were usually charges of Heresy. Not Blasphemy...

Yet you make excuses for Islam and Condemn Christianity...

Interesting.... very interesting...

If you could read my very short posts you would notice that I condemned all killing. Do you just pretend words aren't there ?

Where ?

Romans 6:14 for starters. If you do a simple browser search "Bible under the law", you will find more.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

That's why Christians don't sacrifice animals, even though it is called for in the Old Testament.

You were comparing the Bible. Jews have the TORAH, not the BIBLE.

You do understand that there are people who use the old Testament and not the New. That the Old Testament is damn near the same thing as the Torah.

The old Testament has not been negated. The 23rd psalms is still good.
