View Full Version : More blunt honesty from Romney: "Palestinians have no interest in establishing peace"

It's about time an American politician pointed out the truth about the middle East. The more I hear from Romney, the more I like him.

Years ago, the Hamas charter had a passage saying that Hamas was committed to the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of its people. Does anyone know if that passage has finally been removed? Or is it still in there?

Most "Palestinian" people, of course, are not violent people. They have no interest in destroying Israel, and would rather be left alone to live their lives, raise their kids, etc. They really don't care one way or another about Israel at all. But their fanatic militant leaders have crafted an odd situation, in which they have become a permanent victim class, forbidden to assimilate, grow, or prosper.

Oddest thing about the "Palestinian" people, is the way their extremist militant leaders got the UN to modify its definition of "refugees". A "refugee" used to be a person driven from his home and living somewhere else in exile. Such refugees usually get absorbed into the country of residence. But the UN somehow decided that, in the unique case of these "Palestinians", their descendants would also be known as "refugees" - a situation unique in world history, and one that guarantees a constant supply of "refugees" forever, waiting for a "solution" that will never come: the destruction of Israel.

Most of the "Palestinian" people describing themselves as "refugees", were in fact born where they live now, and cannot be considered "refugees" from anything. Except possibly from the various Arab countries who refused to take their original refugee ancestors, or themselves, in.

Video: Republican Mitt Romney lambastes 2-state solution

US Republican presidential candidate filmed at fundraising dinner saying Palestinians "have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace," adding Iran would use nuclear capability to blackmail US.

US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney questioned the feasibility of the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, according to video footage published Tuesday by US magazine Mother Jones.

"I'm torn by two perspectives in this regard," Romney said at a $50,000-per-plate fundraising dinner on May 17. "One is the one which I've had for some time, which is that the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish."

Romney then launched into a hypothetical scenario in which Israelis allow the Palestinians to establish a state in the West Bank but are then forced to contend with unsolvable security and border issues.

It is "maybe seven miles from Tel Aviv to what would be the West Bank," he said, repeating an oft-cited Israeli security concern alleging that an opposing Arab army in the West Bank could cut Israel in half horizontally in a matter of minutes. "And now how about the airport?" he asked.

Romney said that the Palestinians would demand full control over its own borders, and suggested they could open access to military armaments. "And of course the Iranians would want to do through the West Bank exactly what they did through Lebanon, what they did near Gaza. Which is that the Iranians would want to bring missiles and armament into the West Bank and potentially threaten Israel."

Concluding that the Palestinians remain "committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel," the US presidential candidate endorsed a strategy of maintaining the status quo. "You move things along the best way you can," he said. "You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that this is going to remain an unsolved problem."

Turning to Iran, Romney cautioned on the danger of allowing the Islamic Republic to obtain nuclear weapons capability. Using another hypothetical scenario, Romney imagined Iran giving Hezbollah "a little fissile material," ordering the proxy to take it to Chicago, and then blackmailing the US over foreign policy issues. "We really don't have any option but to keep Iran from having a nuclear weapon," he said.

Thank you Little Acorn. See how effective the TRUTH really is? And thankfully. No person on earth is capable of changing it.

But the Palestinians have indeed been driven from their homes and are living in exile just in another place in their country. Gaza for example is just a refugee camp for people who were ejected from their villages by force. Wiped from the map, they now rightly target those who stole their homes and ancestral lands.

They were not 'driven' from the land, they wanted it all. They waged war and lost. When Israel agreed to give up a large portion of Gaza to them, they left the green houses, water supply, and olive trees in place. The Palestinians destroyed them, as in biting off one's nose. Stupid and shows their commitment to no compromise. That indeed is why there is no peace in sight.

If the palestinians spent HALF the time building up their infrastructure and educating their population as they do trying to blow things up, they could improve their situation.

The Jews and Arabs have been in that part of the world since written history began. No one forced anyone anywhere, those ancestral lands belong to both groups.

jafar. Why won't you do the simple, honest thing here and just tell us HOW MUCH YOU HATE JEWS?

Better yet. Why don't you move to whatever you claim as Palistine, and help them build their rockets from Hezbolla to attack Israel.

Sounds like you spend so much time making excuses for those people, insisting they were forced to leave. When the TRUTH is. They have turned-down, resisted, denied, and never really wanted Peace in any way unless THEY GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT...like Dead Jews.

But not even You jafar. Have the honesty, or courage to actually speak with an honest tongue in your mouth. You come here to lie like Obama stutters, but you haven't got the real humanity in you to tell us HOW YOU REALLY think, or feel.
You are as dishonest as 3937

If Romney wins, he will roll over and beg for a tummy rub from his Israeli masters and really make the US, Israel's lapdog.

You mean the infrastructure that the Israelis keep blowing up? They can't live a normal life under siege like that.

Thanks cadet. Well put. Take notice how jafar always manages to ignore, or intentionally pretend NOT to read any questions posed by some of us.

That's more of a sign of being a Liberal like Obama than anything they MIGHT try to say...as they defend, and lie to cover up their shame of hatred for anyone who presents truth that they Cannot change.

No I mean the bombs the palistinians keep aiming at Israel :poke:

If the palistinians truely wanted to be left in peace they would stop the bombing and build their infrastructure.

Their leaders however, are more interrested in looking like victims and keeping their population ignorant.

How odd, or coincidental is it that OUR LIBERAL, DEMOCRAT Americans deny being the very same victims of a government that rules everything they do...through the handouts?
And, compare our Democrat dependent society to the very same Palistinians who are crying, and destroying their own property...
because they hate Israel, much like Democrats here, hate Republicans.

Anyone notice the comparison????

The missiles are being lobbed at their own homes that they were forced out of at gun point in order to force the invaders out.

They do build infrastructure, but the Israelis keep bombing leading to them lobbing more bottle rockets over the border. And so on and so forth.

jafar. Were you born as dumb as your words appear above, or have you been training to be dumb by making such obviously stupid statements?

You intentionally left out the Hesbolla missiles being aimed at Israel, and blame the Israeli's for trying to protect themselves?

Doesn't take too many hours of learning to be DISHONEST for you either. Somebody was ripped off if they paid for your terrible education.

Here's the reality.

I give you Palestine Liberation Organization founder and Baa'th party leader Zuheir Mohsen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuheir_Mohsen#Political_views) from 1977:

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

It is what it is. There is NO "Palestine" except as a propaganda tool even Goebbels would be proud of.
