View Full Version : Here is how Islam responds

Yes, I understand they are insulted, and even I admit what they are seeing is wrong. But it's just pictures, or words. How can any religious person resort to violence over such petty things? Then again, they already beat and kill over petty things in many countries and tribal areas under Shariah Law. It's a shame that people can't see the stupidity in the words and pictures and move along, but instead they try and prove the stuff that people perceive about Islam to be correct. The ENTIRE world is watching to see how Islam responds to such stupidity, and this is what Islam shows them, from their "Religion of Peace". This is NOT peace, this is savage behavior in many places. I can understand peaceful protesting, but the violent people are simply showing their true colors.

PAKISTAN
Seventeen people were killed and dozens were injured as tens of thousands protested against the film around the country after the government encouraged peaceful protests and declared a national holiday — "Love for the Prophet Day." Demonstrations turned violent in several Pakistani cities. Among those killed was a driver for a Pakistani television station, who died after police opened fire on rioters torching a cinema in the northwest city of Peshawar during a protest.

Clashes between police and thousands of stone-throwing protesters also occurred in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, the Pakistani capital.

___
AFGHANISTAN
About 900 people have gathered for a protest against the film in the capital, Kabul, chanting "death to America" and burning an effigy of President Barack Obama and an American flag. A few hundred demonstrators also protested inside a mosque in the eastern city of Ghazni. The protests were peaceful.

___
IRAN
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lashed out at the West over the film. Speaking during a military parade in Tehran, he said: "in return for (allowing) the ugliest insults to the divine messenger, they — the West — raise the slogan of respect for freedom of speech." He said this explanation was "clearly a deception."
___
INDONESIA
The United States closed its diplomatic missions across Indonesia due to continuing demonstrations over the anti-Islam film. Small and mostly orderly protests were held outside the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta and in the cities of Surabaya and Medan, along with a couple other smaller towns. No violence was reported.
In addition to the embassy in Jakarta and consulate offices in Surabaya, Medan and Bali, the American mission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations also was shut.
___
IRAQ
About 3,000 people, mostly followers of Iranian-backed Shiite Muslim groups, protested against the film and caricatures in the southern city of Basra. Demonstrators carried Iraqi flags and posters of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, chanting "death to America" and "no to America."

They burnt Israeli and American flags. One of the organizers, Qassim al-Moussawi, told AP that people gathered "to express our anger and resentment on the offenses made against our prophet."
___
SRI LANKA

About 2,000 Muslims burned effigies of President Barack Obama and American flags at a protest after Friday prayers in the capital, Colombo, demanding that the United States ban the film.

___
BANGLADESH
Over 2,000 people marched through the streets of the capital, Dhaka, to protest the film. They burned a makeshift coffin draped in an American flag, and an effigy of Obama.
___
LEBANON
Thousands gathered in the Bekaa Valley for the latest in a series of protest rallies organized by the Shiite militant group Hezbollah. Protesters carried the yellow Hezbollah flag.
___
KASHMIR
Police enforced a daylong curfew in parts of Indian-controlled Kashmir's main city, Srinagar, and chased away protesters opposing the anti-Islam film. Authorities in the region also temporarily blocked mobile phone and Internet services to prevent viewing the film clips.
___
GERMANY
Several hundred people gathered in the city of Freiburg in southwest of Germany to protest the film. Some carried banners saying: "The dignity of the Prophet Muhammad is our dignity." Police banned inflammatory slogans.
The Interior Ministry postponed a poster campaign aimed at countering radical Islam among young people due to tensions caused by the online video insulting Islam. Posters for the campaign — in German, Turkish and Arabic — were meant to go on display in German cities with large immigrant populations on Friday, but are being withheld because of the changed security situation. Germany is home to an estimated 4 million Muslims.
___
NORWAY
Crowds gathered outside the U.S. Embassy in the capital Oslo to protest the prophet film shouting "Obama, Obama, we're all Osama."
Some 70 people took part in the hour-long demonstration on Friday afternoon. Police blocked off the street during the peaceful protest.
___
PHILIPPINES
A law professor defied a ban by Philippine university officials and has shown students the film's 14-minute trailer. Constitutional law professor Harry Roque of the University of the Philippines said the film was "trash and nothing but trash" and will not convince people Islam is evil.

I thought it was rather obvious, Gabs. There is a stupid ass movie released. Then France releases some stupid cartoons. Offensive, yeppers. But kill and riot over it? That's a bit overboard, no? Countless thousands are running in the streets like animals and countries throughout the world over something ONE asshole in America did, who isn't even American!

People in Islamic worlds offend Jesus and burn our American Flag almost every single day. Where are the protests over here in America? Where are the riots? Where are the murders?

Some act like animals when offended, some shake their head in disbelief and move forward with their lives.

Does anyone think the Muslims are getting pissed over Obama, Biden, and the liberal media are constantly saying OBL is dead and GM is alive; and just as Hollywood is ready to release the movie on Obama killing OBL

If the Muslims are doing all this rioting over a internet video how they hell are they going to react over Team Obama constantly spiking the football?

I don't see your point either Jimmy. Apart from a couple of places, the protests were on the whole, peaceful. Are you trying to say that Muslims don't have a right to oppose such an insult?

People in Islamic worlds offend Jesus and burn our American Flag almost every single day. Where are the protests over here in America? Where are the riots? Where are the murders?

How do we offend Jesus? We love him as one of the Prophets and most beloved of God!

News flash. We don't care about Osama. He was an enemy to most of us. The way tried to twist Islam to use for his own benefit has caused us no end of grief and his actions and those of his followers have damaged relations between east and west. The reaction of most Muslims over the lynching of Osama is an overwhelming "meh".

I wouldn't say anyone offends Jesus. However, to Christians Jesus is the son of God-- he is God, not merely a prophet. To say Jesus is merely a prophet is as much an insult to Christians as saying Muhammed wasn't a prophet is an insult to Islam. But such things should be a matter of personal belief, not public discourse. The issue in it's broadest sense is whether blasphemy should be punished by man-- do insults, even in their gravest manifestation, justify physical punishment?

Sad part is, outside of the initial US Ambassador and those at the embassy, these animals are only killing other Muslims. So not only are they lower than animals, but they're stupid to boot.

Wrong. Muslims deny his divinity and do not embrace his message of love, love your enemies. Islam teaches the opposite, destroy your enemies. Deny that , go ahead and try.
Islamists ban the bible and make it a criminal offense to bring one into countries that they control-- that's really some kind of love isn't it? I believe they call that kind of love = hate. Exactly the kind of love they have when they riot and murder innocent people , right?
When stirred up (even over minor slights) their true spirit comes forth and it is a SPIRIT OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION.. REALITY AND CURRENT EVENTS CLEARLY SHOW THAT AS THE TRUTH..
Their actions reveal their true savagery and that comes from their religion..
Islam teaches hate, you call it love. Islam allows love ONLY for Allah and mo-ham-boy.. TRUTH HURTS..-Tyr

Remember the Rodney King riots .... apparently people were more pissed about "police brutality" than acts of war against America .... murdering our Ambassador on "sovereign land" isn't enough to riot over. Why? Because most of the "rioter" mentality are those who want to "destroy, maim and kill" and rioting has nothing to do with the original event.

There is a world of difference between "protesting" and "rioting" and I think it has to do with the level of evolution within a culture.

They've always been fools - the first one is documented in the Bible, he was cast out and wandered around in the desert, solo, until he met more sunstricken savages out there and the cult was launched.

He got sunstroke, hallucinated up a religion that allowed him to do whatever he wanted to, but did acknowledge Jesus, and the rest of them have been living like sunstroked savages ever since.

Since the Jews initially kicked MoMo out (hehehehe, come and get me in Wasilla, you savages!) they naturally were pissed about it since MoMo told them how shabbily they treated him, and the hatred has been passed down for thousands of years.

It didn't help their attitude that since then, the Jews have handily beaten their asses militarily, even when outnumbered 20 to 1, further demonstrating who the Creator favors.

That REALLY pisses them off and the excuses for their multiple series of outright defeats has been a source of great entertainment to the rest of the world ever since.

PHILIPPINES
A law professor defied a ban by Philippine university officials and has shown students the film's 14-minute trailer. Constitutional law professor Harry Roque of the University of the Philippines said the film was "trash and nothing but trash" and will not convince people Islam is evil.

Well, some of it is that these countries don't understand the concept of inherent rights, especially the right to speak freely. I mean, really, when was the last time they had any? Then you have to account for the spin of things in their country, where they likely never saw the film, and only heard about it from their news stations, which, not being free to speak openly, would be under state control. And of course, in the worst places, they've been ramped up on decades of hate, so its' the first place they go.

Funny thread. My wife summed it up recently, bluntly: "those people are animals".

That's why we see so many riots when someone insults allah, but never see them when someone insults Mohammed!

Needless to say, that's just not true. There was, of course, the case of the British teacher in Sudan, who allowed a child in the class she was teaching to name a teddy bear 'Mohammed'. Days later, a mob was running around in the streets calling for her to suffer the death penalty for it. I remember it well ..

Here's just one of the reports about it ..

A British teacher handed a 15-day jail-term for "insulting Islam" has been moved to a secret location amid fears for her safety.

Gillian Gibbons, 54, was transferred only a day after she was imprisoned, as hundreds of people wielding clubs and knives took to the streets in Khartoum calling for her to be shot.

The Sudanese courts chose not to sentence Mrs Gibbons to be flogged but angry protesters denounced the decision for being too lenient.

Sheikh Abdul Jalil Karuri, a leading cleric, earlier whipped up a crowd attending Khartoum's Martyr's Mosque by telling them Gillian Gibbons had deliberately named her class's teddy bear Mohammed "with the intention of insulting Islam."

Later the protestors joined other worshippers to congregate in Martyrs Square, in the centre of the capital, where they chanted "Shame, shame on the UK".

"Those who insult the Prophet of Islam should be punished with bullets," the crowd shouted after Gibbons, 54, was jailed for 15 days on charges stemming from naming a teddy bear Mohammed.

Others shouted "execute her" before large crowds of people who had congregated outside the British embassy, some on horseback, dispersed peacefully.

Such 'fun' people, these Muslims. Any excuse for a spot of savagery to pass the time, evidently. Hey, I wonder what happened to the 'blasphemous' teddy ??

I think you missed the sarcasm in the post.. The point being made was that for someone (Muhamed) that they don't diefy they sure do go out of their way to riot, maim, murder, and destroy a lot... Yet other profits such as Jesus and Moses are NOT given the same standards of care. In fact I don't believe I saw a single riot by Mulims over the piss Christ exhibit!!

They claim Muhamed was just a man but they sure do glorify and set him above all else... smakcs of worship to me!!!!!! Seems anti monothiest as well.. just saying!!!!!!!!!!
