More liberal civility on display. I wonder if Rev Jaclson or Al Shaprton will rush to Ms Dash's defense

Don't hold your breath

In his speech to the Republican National Convention earlier this year, actor Clint Eastwood told the assembled crowd that there are more conservatives and moderates in Hollywood than they might think. Such people “play closer to the vest. They do not go around hot dogging it,” Eastwood said.

Unfortunately, actress Stacey Dash is finding out the hard way what happens to those celebrities who are willing to think for themselves: they get attacked by the very people who claim to preach “tolerance” and “peace.” (Note: This blog post is “not safe for work” and certainly not for children.)

The self-proclaimed merchants of tolerance were even more upset at the former Clueless star because she dares to back Mitt Romney even though she, like President Obama, is partially black. And of course, all black Americans must vote for Obama.

It all started yesterday afternoon when Dash tweeted out the following message (https://twitter.com/REALStaceyDash/status/255012859363352576) on her Twitter page, accompanied by a photo of herself with an American flag:

“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney”

Soon thereafter, Dash came under attack from vile Obama supporters who had no problem using racial ephithets to attack her personal choice.

“Kill yaself you old hag,” tweeted someone named Briggs Marley (https://twitter.com/Briggs_Marley/statuses/255031701967892481). His sentiments were echoed by several other bastions of tolerance (http://twitchy.com/2012/10/07/civility-alert-obama-supporters-urge-stacey-dash-to-kill-herself/).

Another genius calling himself Sherrick W. denounced Dash as “an indoor slave.” He was replying back to someone named @HelloItsBeyonce who had also used racial slurs to attack the actress: “You ready to head back to the fields, jiggaboo?” the person had said, using an offensive racial slur referring to dark-skinned black Americans.

Racism is never acceptable unless you are a fanatical liberal totalitarian directing vicious abuse at those you perceive to be of a different mind than you!!

One of my wealthy white liberal collegues recently told me that he believed blacks shouldn't be allowed to be conservative!

I had to laugh!

Wondering what mundam thinks about this piece and I'm wondering if she would equate this with a war on, not only women, but black women???????

Stacey is being to kill herself, and of course the old stand by, she's not really black if she supports a republican.

Why do I think she will spin this by saying it is racist Republicans pretending to be libs in an attempt to nake libs look bad?

Nothing ignites more vile language and hate than a black woman who supports a Republican or even worse: is a Republican.

I've loved her for a long time, always thought she was beautiful! I'm sure there are some decent liberals out there, but the prominent ones that speak up always make me think they swing for the other team and are hairy! LOL

Knowing Gabby as I do, she brought up a porn star supported Romeny so she did not have to address liberal racism.

Question - will Obama call Ms Dash like he did Sandra Fluke?

Or is running on saving Big Bird more important?

It matters only because it seems that the majority of the hateful tweeets are coming from other blacks who think she should vote Obama based on skin color alone. Blacks demonize other blacks who vote republican.

I think it's brave of her to come out publically.

From 2005 - read how Dems (and elected black Dems) treated Michael Steele when he ran for the US Senate

Black Democratic leaders in Maryland say that racially tinged attacks against Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele in his bid for the U.S. Senate are fair because he is a conservative Republican.

Such attacks against the first black man to win a statewide election in Maryland include pelting him with Oreo cookies during a campaign appearance, calling him an “Uncle Tom” and depicting him as a black-faced minstrel on a liberal Web log.

Operatives for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) also obtained a copy of his credit report — the only Republican candidate so targeted.

But black Democrats say there is nothing wrong with “pointing out the obvious.”
“There is a difference between pointing out the obvious and calling someone names,” said a campaign spokesman for Kweisi Mfume, a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate and former president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

State Sen. Lisa A. Gladden, a black Baltimore Democrat, said she does not expect her party to pull any punches, including racial jabs at Mr. Steele, in the race to replace retiring Democratic U.S. Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes.

“Party trumps race, especially on the national level,” she said. “If you are bold enough to run, you have to take whatever the voters are going to give you. It’s democracy, perhaps at its worse, but it is democracy.”

Delegate Salima Siler Marriott, a black Baltimore Democrat, said Mr. Steele invites comparisons to a slave who loves his cruel master or a cookie that is black on the outside and white inside because his conservative political philosophy is, in her view, anti-black.

“Because he is a conservative, he is different than most public blacks, and he is different than most people in our community,” she said. “His politics are not in the best interest of the masses of black people.”

During the 2002 campaign, Democratic supporters pelted Mr. Steele with Oreo cookies during a gubernatorial debate at Morgan State University in Baltimore.

Allen West sumed it up perfectly

I really feel that it is demeaning to me to think that I need some individual to justify me and my existence. Look, I went through 22 years being in the military, I rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel, I have a bachelor and 2 masters degrees. And for these white liberals to believe they can have this condescending manner toward black conservatives that we need to have approval from our quote unquote, I guess “masters”, for us to be able to speak – see that’s where the true racism really lies governor is with the white liberals who don’t want to see someone such as myself that broke away from their dependency class and is out here and able to possibly contend against them with the policies that they are promoting that’s destroying the black community. I know I’m their #1 target and it just emboldens me to speak out even stronger.
And the heck with them if they think someone else needs to approve of me and what I stand for.
