They don't have a very good track record... except for nominating those with (D) behind their name. The last (R) was Nixon.

I wonder how much sway they think they have.

It's a pretty popular, though 'liberal leaning' paper. That speaks volumes.

Look at how fj is now denouncing the very same Liberal leaning paper....when it drops their Obama Pretender. But, not long ago. When it looked like the Register would endorse the Immaculate MissConception. They were happy.

The Liberal MISERY Index is growing by leaps and bounds almost daily.

If the suicide rate is high in the military. Wonder why the MSM press isn't also reporting the Higher Liberal, Democrat Suicide rates???

Romney Wins All 4 Major Iowa Newspaper Endorsements

On the heels of the Des Moines Register’s endorsement, Mitt Romney snagged endorsements today from the three other major Iowa papers: the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the Quad City Times, and the Sioux City Journal. Economic issues tipped the balance here, and the Gazette captured the sentiment expressed in all four endorsements:

We concede Obama inherited a heaping plateful of problems in January 2009, but we do not believe his performance in managing them earned him a second term. Simply put, we don’t believe more government, more spending and more debt is the answer to what ails us, and we fear only more of the same in a second Obama term
