Leave it to idiot liberals to think they can reverse basic economic principals and human nature

A counterpart to the biblical adage that the poor will always be with us is the notion that the rich will always be one tax hike away from leaving us.

That's the foundation stone, after all, of the argument against raising taxes on "job creators" and of bestowing preferential treatment on capital gains (largely collected by the rich) over wage income (the sustenance of us other poor slobs).

And it's a linchpin of the campaign against Proposition 30, Gov. Jerry Brown (http://www.debatepolicy.com/topic/politics/government/jerry-brown-PEPLT007547.topic)'s proposal to raise income taxes on income above $250,000, topping out at a 13.3% rate on income over $1 million. Go after the wealthy like that, the argument goes, and the rich will flow out of the state like rainwater cascading down a sewer grate.

Millions flee California because of progressive tax system

California has lost billions of dollars in revenue in recent years as businesses and residents flee the state, in part because other states have a more favorable business climate.

According to one estimate (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/03/13/exodus-california-tax-revenue-plunges-by-22), 254 businesses across a variety of industries moved all or some of their jobs out of state last year.

California has both the highest state deficit in the country and the highest personal income tax

Those failed policies that liberals insist will work, eventually.
if at first your totalitarian policies fail, keep reintroducing them, they will work eventually.
dont worry who gets hurt!

insanity is persistently repeating the same act whilst hoping for a different outcome.
ladies and gentlemen!!!
I give you liberal/socialist thinking!!
its just insanity!!!

I think it would serve the idiots right if the businesses and rich people all packed up and moved out. Followed by those that want to work.

It owuld be great to see the libs take in less revenue after raising taxes. But then they would call for MORE tax increases

The good thing would be MORE people and companies would get the hell out of Taxafornia

I have to vote for proposition 30 or reject it. We have 2 such ballots to vote for or against.

Both allege they will fix the problems with schools.

In general, I tend to vote NO on most citizen propositions. Even when I vote in favor of any of them, there is some flaw or even a few flaws.

The state is terrible at disclosing what happened to the money we already approved of in past ballots.

Some of us know that if they hike taxes say in proposition 30, it frees up money to piss off on the high speed rail system to nowhere. We can't afford some fancy high speed train that only a tiny number will ever use. I don't ride trains anyway.

If the liberals would stop giving everything under the sun to illegals they would not need a tax increase and probably have a budget surplus

red states rule. Everyone who pays attention to what happens in California, or politics, already knows. Businesses, and citizens have been leaving Ca. in larger numbers since AHNOLD was Gov.

Any new kind of taxes, or propositions that does not affect the Mexican population...who are the GUESTS of the citizens who pay taxes in Ca. will continue to drive everyone out to other states.'

Jerry Brown promised. Like Obama promised. And now. Americans are paying attention.
