Oh yippie. More government interference for the private sector

President Obama would like to establish a "Secretary of Business" if he wins a second term.

In an interview with MSNBC, the president said he wants to consolidate a number of business and trade-related agencies, creating a "one-stop shop" for oversight.

Caught in a neck-and-neck run with a GOP challenger highlighting his private sector experience, the president is now pushing his own ideas to help business.

"I’ve said that I want to consolidate a whole bunch of government agencies. We should have one Secretary of Business, instead of nine different departments that are dealing with things like giving loans to SBA [the Small Business Administration] or helping companies with exports," he said in an interview with MSNBC's Mika Brezezinski and Joe Scarborough.

Finally. After four years of destroying this nation from the top down. Obama is talking about hiring someone with a BRAIN to show him how dumb, ignorant, and dangerous his FIRST TERM really was???

Why would someone so ANTI-BUSINESS need such a secretary? Socialism, Communism, and Marxism have no need for Capitalism minded folks???

He wants to control small businesses as well as big businesses. So he's going to appoint a business czar.

Great. Just what we want, more government oversight and interference.

For some reason, this Little Red Riding Hood exchange came immediately to mind:

"Why Grandmother, what big eyes you have"
"The better to see you with, my dear".

What Barak Obama should have had was a Secretary of Mind-Your-Own-Business.

Obama wants to give us the business. Watch Leave It To Beaver re-runs if you're not familiar with the term.

After Tuesday, all he'll need is a Secretary of Going-out-of-business

Obama wants to nationalize businesses. A secretary of business will be just another titled person that will report to Director of Homeland Security and, therefore, can be controlled under the guise of National Security.

Did anyone else see the latest Executive Order signed on 10/26/12?

Executive Order -- Establishing the White House Homeland Security Partnership Council

EXECUTIVE ORDER
- - - - - - -
ESTABLISHING THE WHITE HOUSE
HOMELAND SECURITY PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to advance the Federal Government's use of local partnerships to address homeland security challenges, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Policy. The purpose of this order is to maximize the Federal Government's ability to develop local partnerships in the United States to support homeland security priorities. Partnerships are collaborative working relationships in which the goals, structure, and roles and responsibilities of the relationships are mutually determined. Collaboration enables the Federal Government and its partners to use resources more efficiently, build on one another's expertise, drive innovation, engage in collective action, broaden investments to achieve shared goals, and improve performance. Partnerships enhance our ability to address homeland security priorities, from responding to natural disasters to preventing terrorism, by utilizing diverse perspectives, skills, tools, and resources.

The National Security Strategy emphasizes the importance of partnerships, underscoring that to keep our Nation safe "we must tap the ingenuity outside government through strategic partnerships with the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, foundations, and community-based organizations. Such partnerships are critical to U.S. success at home and abroad, and we will support them through enhanced opportunities for engagement, coordination, transparency, and information sharing." This approach recognizes that, given the complexities and range of challenges, we must institutionalize an all-of-Nation effort to address the evolving threats to the United States.

Commissar, czar has imperialistic overtones!

Having said that, sounds more like a partnership between government and buisness in which the government holds all the chips and all the cards.

A corporate state even!
not a czar, not a commissar, perhaps a buisness fuhrer!!
