Well over, not taking atleast one of the midwest was an early bad sign for Romney. Florida going red would be nothing if Mitt couldn't turn Virginia and Ohio too plus a few mores ...looking at it now i think Obama will just pass the 300 el col votes mark.

But for now, sleeps, and who knows, may wake up to find i've missed the most improbable of all comebacks xD

Yes, I'm well past my bedtime myself. Still ...

Hey, folks ... can you believe this ? The BBC is devoting a bit over six hours of coverage to the election result. Sky News ... roughly the same. So, who do you think beats either of these, significantly so ... weighing in at around TEN hours of coverage ?

Did you guess correctly ?

Yes ... on our Freeview channels (as well as satellite TV) ... AL JAZEERA !!

With our all-digital TV systems these days, Al Jazeera's English Language service, here in the UK, is just as accessible as any British mainstream channel or network. Certainly far more than Fox News, which I think is only carried via satellite TV ...

Says it all, doesn't it ? :bang3::bang3:

I dunno. Florida and Ohio are still extremely close.
At 8:20 (PST), Obama leads in Florida, but very little of the conservative Panhandle precincts have been counted.
The latest Ohio result I saw was a virtual tie. Though Fox calling Ohio for Obama is a pretty bad sign.

I am happy that the whole election thing is almost over.

This is good. At least we now know what NOT to look forward to until 2016.

So. I will now thank every Liberal, Democrat, Progressive who just approved paying for everything I do...with their money.

And. When then say..."It's not their money." I will have to agree. It won't be their money after APRIL 15th. When all of those

Obama Promises of No Taxes....come due, and none of the Liberal, Democrat, Progressives will know WHAT HIT THEM.

Democrats survived eight years or Dubya. Surely Republicans can survive eight years of Obama.

Face it, if Romney had won, Fox and the radio talking heads would get bored. :p

BS. none of you survived Bush because the man for the most part was dozens of times better than Obama. I want to shout obscene names at Obama.

The man is a shuck and jive artist. So you can congratulate yourself for voting for a SOB liar.

This is not funny.

Obama is going out of his way to ruin the economy of this country.

Bush tried some of that Keynes medicine and it did not help.

Double doses won't work either.

Watch your doctors bail out on medicare patients. Just what Obama really wants to happen.

They sure didn't get bored while Bush was President. Why would a Romney Presidency have been different?

And if Valerie Jarret follows through on last weeks threat, then no Republicans might not survive.

Gabby, with all we've told you that is at stake, this last comment of yours makes it painfully obvious that you don't get it and that you never will.

But, when your taxes go up, a lot, next January, you will find it in your heart ...... to blame Bush, a president who left office nearly 4 years ago

When our debt is downgraded again, resulting in higher borrowing costs to the taxpayers, you will find a reason... to blame the House Republicans

When unemployment keeps inching up and you and your family lose their jobs, you will see the real reason is... the Tea Party

In short, you'll find every reason to shift the blame away from that idol of clay you and your fellow liberals have erected for yourselves, Barack Obama and the Democrats

Now that Obama doesn't have to worry about being re-elected, his true colors will come out and, Lord help us all, we are in for a rough four years

As I said back in 2008. HE"S NOT MY PRESIDENT!

The country just elected it's first dictator. President for life is his next goal. Get ready for double digit unemployment, ten dollar gas, electric costs only the elite can afford, a huge homeless population, no medical treatment and finally civil war.

This, ladies and gentlemen is what loses elections for the Republicans. If the House has any sense at all, it will pass an immigration bill that is attractive to Latinos that doesn't provide a path to citizenship. Don't make assumptions; do extensive market research to find out what truly is an attractive bill. A carefully crafted non-amnesty bill can be achieved.

Perhaps taxes need to go up. You can't continue to cut taxes and still maintain our country.
Look at the East Coast following Sandy. How are we going to repair and maintain our infrastructure? How are we going to create more jobs?

You want to know where the election was won? Look at the vote totals. Women, Latinos and young people turned out in record numbers. Obama had a 12 percent advantage among women.
White males no longer dictate who runs the country. Scary thought, isn't it?

Yes you can Gabby. More jobs means more tax base which means that tax does not have to increase on those who are already working. Ridiculous way to keep trying to get out of debt ... taxing those that are already giving. Why not focus on creating a job rich environment in the private sector instead?

Look at the East Coast following Sandy. How are we going to repair and maintain our infrastructure? How are we going to create more jobs?

So, you are a proponent of raising taxes on those who already have jobs, in order to create government jobs? You don't create jobs by raising taxes ... why is this so hard for progressive liberals to understand? Unless, of course, you already work for the government ... then it makes total sense to keep creating government jobs from the money gained by taxing those making over $250,000. The funny thing is that those government jobs are tipping over the $250,000/year mark now and will soon see how the tax increase affects them.

You want to know where the election was won? Look at the vote totals. Women, Latinos and young people turned out in record numbers. Obama had a 12 percent advantage among women.
White males no longer dictate who runs the country. Scary thought, isn't it?

And look at the pickle we are in, Gabby, now that white males are no longer running the country. Are you better off just because you can now legally kill your babies, smoke dope, force churches to pay for your birth control (oh, wait, let's just skip the birth control because abortion is legal now), forced to let the government decide what and how much you eat, etc., etc.

How many of those women, latinos and young people are actually working and contributing to the tax base?

They all say they love the country Tyr, but what do they do when they get in office? Heck Romey said on agree with some of the unconstitutional things Obama's done. we already know that if he thinks it's best he'll sign anti-gun laws and pro abortion laws. I just don't see the stark difference you guys are crying about. He just wanted to tweak ObamaCare to make it more like his own MA RomneyCare. Still wanted to run the deficits. etc etc

I kinda wish Romney had won then we'd get a chance to see Romney act like Bush with more big gov't spending. But if a R does it then it's OK because "it's not as bad as if the Ds had done it," with hate of America in their hearts.

Rev, are you serious about believing Obama is better for the country than Romney? Do you really believe Romney would have done nothing different?

I honestly believe very little to nothing concerning a return the constitution, civil libertities or constitutional presidental boundaries which are my 1st priorities at this point in time.

Very little difference concerning the economy. Obama just continued Bush's policies with the fed and more easing and Bail outs big gov't and deficits. Allowing big banks -GSaks etc- to get away with trillions in theft, I'd expect more of the same from Romney.

The only possible differences I see would be Romney jumping into wars over seas faster. You know where i stand on that.

pro life amendment forgetaboutit.
But possibly, maybe, if he had to, he might stop some extra insane abortion bill from passing. maybe. but he has NO record of doing anything like that just promises. I'm done with promises without records Sassy. Been there done that got the "no nation building" and "no new taxes" Tee shirts.

I'd expect a lot of republican posturing and rah rah but little to nothing by way of real conservative or constitutional actions from Romney.

so better? no, little to nothing different yes.
