So this was sent to me via email. Probably anyone could have written it, but the words in it couldn't be any more correct!!

"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living"

This was written by a 21 year old female who gets it. It's her future she’s worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare system that she’s being forced to live in!

These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.

Put me in charge . . ..

Put me in charge of benefit payments. I'd get rid of cash payments and provide vouchers for 50kg bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese, basic sanitary items and all the powdered milk you can use. If you want steak, burgers, takeaway and junk food, then get a job.

Put me in charge of the NHS. The first thing I'd do is to get women to have birth control implants. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce, use drugs, drink alcohol or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of local authority housing. Ever live in military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried.
If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

Put me in charge of compulsory job search. You will either search for employment each week no matter what the job or you will report for community work. This may be clearing the roadways and open spaces of rubbish, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your dooff dooff stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realise that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our hard earned cash and housing assistance, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin someone's "self esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards those for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on benefit income you no longer have the right to VOTE! For you to vote would be a conflict of interest..... If you want to vote, then get a job.

I disagree with the "no matter what the job" mentality. For example, a nurse's time would be better spent networking and making contacts for a nursing jobs than being sidetracked flipping burgers.

In Florida, the way they did drug testing was disingenuous. The drug test was at the applicant's expense, to be reimbursed later. It served as a barrier to applying for benefits, especially to those who are flat broke.

I suppose it depends on the length of time. If a nurse has been collecting unemployment for longer than 6 months, on our dime, the best route is to have her with SOME employment EARNING money, and she of course is free to continue to search while working part time or what not at the same time. I agree she/he shouldn't be flipping a burger a week after losing employment, but after awhile, if nothing is popping up - people shouldn't be on benefits indefinitely when "work" is available where money can be earned.

Bravo, dead on accurate and will never even be considered because it would destroy the dem party!!
Now if that statement is true then the dem party and its entire agenda is enemy to the health, welfare and security of this nation. Yes, both are true just as I've been saying for many years now.-Tyr

Yep, agreed it would never happen. Dems would vote for (D), even if it were a steaming pile of you know what, and FAR too many people would hate this candidate as they would see all the freebies disappearing.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. It's a long lost art anymore.

Is why we have obama and could be why the nation falls! Reality is a bitch sometimes.
16 TRILLION IN DEBT AND RISING PRETTY MUCH SAYS IT ALL WHEN OBAMA IN LESS THAN 4 YEARS DID 6 TRILLION OF IT! TOOK THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS 232 YEARS TO ACCUMULATE THE PREVIOUS 10 TRILLION.
Thats 232years / 10= 23.2 6X23.2 = 139.2 YEARS WORTH OF DEBT IN JUST UNDER 4 YEARS, WAY TO GO "MESSIAH"
And with obamacare coming in add another 2.4 trillion dollars minimiuim, by the time obama second term ends he will likely have added a total in 8 years of at least 12 to 14 trillion dollars. Anybody starting to figure where that takes us?? Destroy a company by bankrupting it and you can do the ame to a nation..--Tyr

Agreed...it might just be that she can't get a job nursing because she sucks at it. If I get a degree in nuclear engineering, I don't get to live on the dole if no nuclear power plants will hire me.

Yep. And why they sometimes extend benefits for like 99 weeks and such is beyond me. That's nearly 2 years of freebies. If you're going to give people that kind of money for such an extended period - give them city/state jobs to do in the mean time. Even have them clean up the cities, paint things, paperwork or secretarial jobs... But I believe the more you allow people to sit around and do nothing and get paid for it, the more they get to use other peoples money to get drugs and stupid crap - the more they are going to want it. Make them earn the money somehow and watch how quick they look for better and more suited employment.
