Once again, the left has started their annual War on Christmas and now Charlie Brown is in their crosshairs
An Arkansas secular group is defending its opposition to public school students being allowed attend a performance of “Merry Christmas Charlie Brown” while rejecting claims they had declared a ‘war on Christmas.’
“Those who stand up for the rights of children to be free from coercion aren’t making war either on religion or Christmas,” said LeeWood Thomas, spokesperson for the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers. “This is a case of a church forming an alliance with local government to violate religious freedom.”
Students at Terry Elementary School in Little Rock had been invited to attend an upcoming performance of “Merry Christmas Charlie Brown” at Agape Church. The theatrical production is adapted from the popular animated television classic, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Of course I can understand why some on the left would object to the Charlie Brown Christmas. Many on the left worship government and they do not want their kids seeing what the real meaning of Christmas is

Just more proof to backup, and document my assertions about how BAD our entire nation is becoming.

Everything, anyone does, says, thinks, believes, looks at, writes about, sings about, that insults, offends, bothers, or angers anyone else, for any reason, at any time is nothing more than another reason so many dumb, stupid, ignorant people want control of everything for nothing but selfish reasons. And they ALL VOTED FOR OBAMA again.

These atheist douchebags are insulting my intelligence when saying they are not waging a War on Christmas by going after a school hosting a voluntary field trip for its students.
It is VOLUNTARY. Students don't have to go. No one is being coerced.

Thunderknuckles. Wanna confuse an Atheist?

Ask them "What are you against, when it comes to the word God?"

If they claim NOT to believe in God. How can they be against something THEY INSIST...does not exist, and therefore...is not a threat???

Looks like the majority lost another round to the libs in the War on Christmas
Little Rock church has cancelled a student matinee performance of “Merry Christmas Charlie Brown” after critics complained the show was too religious and therefore violated the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
“It is not our desire to put hard-working, sacrificial teachers and cast members in harm’s way,” said Happy Caldwell, pastor of Agape Church, in a statement to Fox News. “While we regret the loss of students who will not get this particular opportunity right now, we have taken the school matinees off the table.”
The cancellation came as the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers told television station KATV (http://www.katv.com/story/20222656/athiest-group-gets-legal-help-for-charlie-brown-school-controversy) they had received legal advice on pursuing a possible lawsuit against the Little Rock School District.
“We’re not waging a war,” said LeeWood Thomas, a spokesman for the group. “We’re basically calling a foul against the separation of church and state.”
A spokesperson for the school district told Fox News they had absolutely nothing to do with the cancellation of the performance. They said they had consulted with their legal team and determined the field trip was appropriate.
Students at Terry Elementary School had been planning to attend a school-day field trip to watch a stage version of the holiday classic — hosted by the church. The event was strictly voluntary and teachers sent home letters explaining the purpose of the trip.
However, a parent objected to the field trip and contacted the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers (http://www.arkansasfreethinkers.com/), a self-described community of atheists, agnostics and humanists.
“The problem is that it’s got religious content and it’s being performed in a religious venue and that doesn’t just blur the line between church and state — it oversteps it entirely,” attorney Anne Orsi told Arkansas Matters. “We’re not saying anything bad about Charlie Brown.”
Orsi is vice-president of the organization. She told television station KNWA (http://nwahomepage.com/fulltext?nxd_id=383302) that the concerned parent did not want to be identified.http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/atheist-outrage-sinks-charlie-brown-show.html

Charlie Brown, a cartoon character is attacked by the leftists, libs, atheists and true enemies of our nation.
Guess what other group fears and attacks concerning cartoon characters? Thats right the lefitists/libs friends the muslims! The muslims that rioted and murdered over a cartoon. Truth be told , all those named our true enemies of this great nation.
So those kids suffer because adults with political agenda and anti-religious hatred threaten a lawsuit. Folks , when do we start to make these people pay for their attacks upon our freedoms and our religious freedom!?? When do we in our everyday lives start to punish these wicked , ignorant and lousy bastards!?? I do by speaking out against them right to their face at every opportunity that I get!! I never pass up a chance to tell them what lousy scum they are!-Tyr

It is very telling that the "Free Thinkers" are so opposed to allowing children to learn the REAL meaning of Christmas. This is another example of liberal dumbing down our kids and teaching them that God is a topic that must not be discussed in public
