The UK has their own version of Obamacare - so I would not be surprised to see this happening here in the US. Libs must be so proud of the progress they are making in the UK and libs here can only dream of America following in their footsteps and joining the rest of the world.
Sick children are being discharged from NHS hospitals to die at home or in hospices on controversial ‘death pathways’.
Until now, end of life regime the Liverpool Care Pathway was thought to have involved only elderly and terminally-ill adults.
But the Mail can reveal the practice of withdrawing food and fluid by tube is being used on young patients as well as severely disabled newborn babies.

One doctor has admitted starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in the neonatal unit of one hospital alone.

Writing in a leading medical journal, the physician revealed the process can take an average of ten days during which a baby becomes ‘smaller and shrunken’.

The LCP – on which 130,000 elderly and terminally-ill adult patients die each year – is now the subject of an independent inquiry ordered by ministers.

The investigation, which will include child patients, will look at whether cash payments to hospitals to hit death pathway targets have influenced doctors’ decisions.
Medical critics of the LCP insist it is impossible to say when a patient will die and as a result the LCP death becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. They say it is a form of euthanasia, used to clear hospital beds and save the NHS money.

Thanks, 'red states' ... I KNEW there was something I'd forgotten to do yesterday, and here it is .. to post this story !

Yes, I bought the Daily Mail yesterday because of this. The Mail devoted their front page to this, with an overspill onto page 4. They treated this as their big story of the day.

Sadly, I saw nothing that was the equivalent of that from the other UK papers. And the BBC, though it has articles on how this institution deals with the elderly, has said nothing about babies suffering in that way. But, then .. the BBC would rather be as politically correct as it can manage to be.

Well, folks, what do you think ? Is deferring healthcare to centralised authority a good thing .. or, open to abuse from an uncaring State, one seeing people as society's raw material, to treat as they choose ?

It would have been nice if the UK's Olympic Games opening ceremony tribute to the NHS included a scene of doctors starving sick babies to death.

On this forum yesterday I posted a piece about HIV+ positive patients being turned away by Chinese hospitals.

Now that Obamacare is nigh, the media is setting the table to give us a real look at what socialized health care really is, so we don't blame Obama.

"Hey, it's not Obama's fault! This is what socialized health care is like all over the world."

But isn't that what conservatives were warning all during the debates? Where were these articles then?

We know that whenever the government gets involved in anything it gets screwed up. People were told that if Obamacare stood people would lose their jobs and it is happening. They were told the cost of ins for those who still had their jobs would increase and it is. Next up will be the rationing of care and denial of care the government deems unworthy of treatment. They were told but they refused to listen. Like in Cool Hand L:uke - we have a failure to communicate

Obamacare is a microcosm of Obamaism in general.

Obama did not create any new health care, just like he isn't interested in creating any new wealth.

He took whatever health care was in place and divided it up. Just like he wants to take whatever wealth there is and divide that up.

This is nothing new and we were told Obamcare would ration care - but a majority of voters ignored the warning
A top Democrat strategist and donor who served as President Obama’s lead auto-industry adviser recently conceded that the rationing of heath services under Obamacare is “inevitable.”
Steven Rattner advocated that such rationing should target elderly patients, while stating, “We need death panels.”
Rattner serves on the board the New America Foundation, or NAF, a George Soros-funded think tank that was instrumental in supporting Obamacare in 2010. Soros’ son, financier Jonathan Soros, is also a member of the foundation’s board.
Rattner was the so-called “car czar,” the lead auto adviser to the Treasury Department under Obama.
Last month, Rattner penned an opinion piece in the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/17/opinion/health-care-reform-beyond-obamacare.html?_r=1) titled “Beyond Obamacare” in which he proclaimed “We need death panels” and argued rationing must be instructed to sustain Obama’s health-care plan. His comments have been virtually ignored by traditional media as the president campaigns for a second term.
“We need death panels,” began Rattner. “Well, maybe not death panels, exactly, but unless we start allocating health-care resources more prudently – rationing, by its proper name – the exploding cost of Medicare will swamp the federal budget.”http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/obama-adviser-admits-we-need-death-panels/

It's one of the first steps to creating a brave new world.

We start eliminating sick babies, then old people, then mentally ill people, then disabled people, then Christian people...

That's the way tyranny works. You trick the people you intend to oppress into thinking you're doing what's best for them.

Psssst....killing you is never what's best for you. Which means killing other people for their own good is never a good idea.
