And seems like he got a pass until after the elections went by.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned. The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.

Luis Abrahan Sanchez Zavaleta, an 18-year-old immigrant from Peru, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in front of his home in New Jersey on Dec. 6, two federal officials said. Sanchez, who entered the country on a now-expired visitor visa from Peru, is facing deportation and remains in custody. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of Sanchez's immigration case.

Authorities in Hudson County notified ICE agents in early October that they suspected Sanchez was an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender and who may be eligible to be deported. ICE agents in New Jersey notified superiors at the Homeland Security Department because they considered it a potentially high profile arrest, and DHS instructed them not to arrest Sanchez until after the November election, one U.S. official told the AP. ICE officials complained that the delay was inappropriate, but DHS directed them several times not to act, the official said.

Sanchez, who entered the country on a now-expired visitor visa from Peru, is facing deportation and remains in custody. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of Sanchez's immigration case.
A spokesman for the Homeland Security Department, Peter Boogaard, said in an email to the AP that ICE followed standard procedures working with local prosecutors before taking what he called "appropriate enforcement action." Boogard also said AP's report was "categorically false." He did not immediately respond to a request to specify what might be false....

Could this story have been why someone got Homeland to hold off? Notice the date:

Three Things We Can Learn From the Menendez Sex Scandal (http://pjmedia.com/andrewklavan/2012/11/01/three-things-we-can-learn-from-the-menendez-sex-scandal/) November 1st, 2012

According to a report by Daily Caller (http://dailycaller.com/2012/11/01/women-sen-bob-menendez-paid-us-for-sex-in-the-dominican-republic/) investigative reporter Matt Boyle, two women from the Dominican Republic are charging that Democrat New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez paid them for sex. The ladies say the senator offered them five hundred dollars but then only paid them one hundred each after the fact.

Senator Bob was the subject of a CBS/New York Times poll (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Menendez) in 2006. They asked folks to name the first thing that came to their minds when hearing Menendez’s name. The top answer given was “corruption” or “crooked.” Of course, that doesn’t mean he actually stiffed and then stiffed these girls. His office denies it and I wouldn’t want to presume him guilty. But oh, let’s go ahead.

Isn't that what the Secret Service allegedly did? Try and get away with paying less or something? Seems a double standard.

Oh yeah. However it's pretty difficult for the prostitutes to call the police and claim theft of services. However they can cause enough of a brouhaha to get all of them hauled in. LOL! The pros don't care about another arrest, the johns do, most of the time.
