Obama will get his tax increase. He can then have his "mission accomplished" press conference and we can count on the end of budget problems. Meanwhile, Boehner is chipping away at the tax increase as much as he can.

And you better believe that the great narcissist will declare victory and claim he is the father of tax increases. He will hoggggggg the entire credit and give the speaker not one bit.

I suppose he's doing a good job but I think he should have the House pass some sort of comprehensive reform and pass it along to the Senate and let BO veto it if he will. He should also eliminate base-line budgeting and other policies that obfuscate how government "works."

Of course he may not have any of that in him.

The America most of us grew up to know. Will, for all intents, and purposes. Cease to exist on January 1st. When Obama and the Democrats blame Republicans, and the generally Uneducated Portion of our American population learns...the hard way.

How their vote on November 6th. Got them everything they HOPED for, as the CHANGE will make them ask...."What did we do?"

^Meh, unfortunately it's just the continuation of the Progressive movement began a hundred years ago that is resulting in a diminution of our Federal Republic. January first, if it truly happens, will just be another lesson that will probably be ignored and/or missed by the voting public.

Anything that changes for the worse, can be changed back by laws passed after the new year.

We must not act like changes are carved into marble.

Obama brags he cut spending. How, I ask, since the Senate has rejected his budgets for every year he has sat on his throne.

Obama won't discuss the Democrats blockades in the Senate. He opines that it's just republicans at fallt.

Oh yeah Obama? How many democrats in the Senate ever voted for any of your budgets?

Too embarassed Obama to fess up?

I disagree.....Boehner has only shown that Republicans are willing to bend which leads to two conclusions.....1) they aren't sincere about their demands and 2) if you wait long enough they will give up even more.....

they should have started from the position of "yes, we will agree to tax increases on those earning over $250k, IF you reduce spending by $3 trillion"......then negotiate the spending cut instead of the tax increase.....
