191,000 in foodstamp fraud ONE county

This is from ONE county in Ohio in JUST 6 months. Makes you wonder how many MILLIONS of foodstamp waste is going on country wide


In its first six months, a unique Butler County squad that combats food-stamp trafficking has saved the system more than $191,000 in misspending, most of it from people selling their benefit cards.So far, 17 people were arrested, 13 have already been sentenced and 24 have lost their benefits – one of them for life, officials said

The welfare system in our country is broken on many levels. They need to stop completely and reestablish something that works. Half the country wants to live off of freebies, and our government is allowing it, and welfare is up over 40% in just Obama's 1st term. People abuse unemployment and many work under the table in addition. Many do so when turning down jobs. Many do so and don't even attempt to look for work. You have people collecting welfare that are having more children just so that they can collect more money. Then of course many of them don't "raise" these kids and find ways to use their funds for booze and drugs. Same with food stamps. Hell, there's basically an underground network for those with stamps and cards. People at stores let people buy booze and ring it up differently, for a fee. Drug dealers take the cards, at a huge exchange. The sell them openly, like a $100 EBT card for $40. They need to look into some type of drug testing, find ways to have people work and contribute back to the neighborhoods and cities. They need a system that makes those not in emergency situations not want to stay on it perpetually.
