ABC's Jonathan Karl reported this morning that there is not enough Democratic support in the Senate right now to confirm Chuck Hagel as secretary of defense:

"I talked this morning to top Democratic staffer in the Senate who said this is not a guarantee that he will get confirmed, that there are enough Democrats that are concerned about Hagel to put him well short of 50, until he makes the case," said Karl.

Good and bad. If he nominated Hagel as his first choice, how bad will the next one be?

Obama needs someone with as little experience in the PENTAGON as Obama has.

The easiest way to destroy our Military is from Within, and Hagle is the perfect person to do that, per Obama's dreams of Socialism.

Does anyone know anything about Hagle?

Has he ever run a business, written a book, or even created any bills while in the Senate?

Putting Hagle in charge of the DEFENSE of this nation would be like offering the position to Hugo Chavez, with Sean Penn as his First assistant.

I won't be investing much time about Chuck Hagel. I did not care for the man when Bush (43) was president.

I don't see him as making it.

I have a general thought pattern.

If Obama wants it, I want to deny him getting it.

That sums it up.

Hagel: War for Oil

10:35 AM, Jan 5, 2013 • By WILLIAM KRISTOL (http://www.weeklystandard.com/author/william-kristol)

In a post yesterday waxing enthusiastic (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-moore/chuck-hagel-iraq-oil_b_2414862.html?utm_hp_ref=politics) about Chuck Hagel as defense secretary, Michael Moore called attention to a statement of Hagel that I don't believe had been previously much noted. Here (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-moore/chuck-hagel-iraq-oil_b_2414862.html?utm_hp_ref=politics) it is (http://www.fpif.org/articles/the_costs_of_war_for_oil), from September 2007:

"People say we're not fighting for oil. Of course we are," said the Republican Senator from Nebraska Chuck Hagel to law students of Catholic University last September. "They talk about America's national interest. What the hell do you think they're talking about? We're not there for figs."

This rounds out a Hagelian worldview—but I also wonder if it could be the straw that breaks the back of Hagel's chances. It's true that senators have been notified in the last few days that Hagel is the likely choice. But the latest AP story (http://www.kansascity.com/2013/01/04/3995180/obama-may-round-out-natl-security.html) has the Obama administration keeping the door open for the president to go in a different direction: "White House aides said the president has not made a final decision on either post and won't until he returns from Hawaii, where he is vacationing with his family. Obama is due back in Washington Sunday morning." Now, when Obama returns, he'll have to come to grips with the Hagel war-for-oil statement.

...

What's more, isn't Hagel’s statement a direct attack on the motives and honesty of those senators who supported the war—including Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry? Indeed, what does it say about Chuck Hagel, who voted to authorize the war in October 2002? He knew it was a war for oil, didn't say so at the time, but voted for it anyway? And then, a few years later, at the height of the fighting by American soldiers in Iraq, he proclaims with false braggadocio the alleged truth that it's all just a war for oil?

Is President Obama really going to nominate this man as secretary of defense?

Kathianne. This tells us. If Obama insists on nominating Hagle for SECDEF. What Hagle says, and thinks, and has said in the past is exactly the very same DUMB MINDSET of Obama.

Just another step toward bringing down the USA.

The steps are very obvious, and visible.

First...get the people fighting amongst themselves.
Second...Create Class Warfare, and hatred for the wealthy
Third...Destroy the Infrastructure...by not repairing it.
Fourth...Control the Food supply.
Fifth...Control the supply and costs of Energy/Fuel.
Sixth...Erode, and dismantle the ability of the Military.
Seventh...Crusade to the Poor to Destroy, and Ignore the Constitution/Laws
Eighth...Take away the Guns/Protections.
Ninth...Become a Tyrant with the support of One Party.
Tenth...Make sure the Public is Uninformed, Uneducated.
Eleventh...Change the TERMS OF OFFICE for the TYRANT.

RESULTS....A Socialist/Communist/Marxist society that controls the people.

Anyone care to offer a suggestion on HOW MANY of those things listed above...are already happening???
