Nonsense like this belongs in the Steel Cage.

I started it for a reason, was just waiting for a few responses before sharing. No , it's not nonsense as I think the 19th VERY clearly demonstrates that the founding fathers weren't perfect and that they in fact made mistakes in the original COTUS that needed correcting. The 19th was such a correction.

So is this your backdoor attempt to hit at the 2nd.. You really going to compare clarification of nomenclature with a right to defend ones self against a tyrannical govt.. of course I'm only speculating here!!!!

Anyone who claims the Constitution needs to be changed in any way. Can make it happen by following the conditions of making changes to the Constitution as written in the document.

Secondly. Any American who makes such demands, merely because that lone American disagree's with the COTUS. Really has no intent of following, or obeying it as written.

Which again brings us to OBAMA, and members of CONGRESS who abuse, ignore, and betray the very Oath of office they swore to follow, and protect.

In other words. Socialist Idea's from people like Obama are the ONE SURE WAY to destroy your own nation.

If that is what any American wants. They are NOT TRUE AMERICAN CITIZENS...except in their own DISTORTED tiny minds.

I told my wife (while safely out of arms reach) that's why her feet get so cold. :laugh:Her response was to put my hands to use over the stove; as that'd be the closest they'll get to her. Motion denied ch; the nays have it.

One would have to assume they knew they weren't 'perfect' or they'd never have provided for amendments.

Indeed the constitution wasn't even ratified until amendments 1-10 were added.

Not exactly. There was an agreement by those in Constitutional Convention that a Bill of Rights would be added. If it could have been done before the ratification, there'd have been no need for those 10 amendments, they'd have been incorporated into the original.

Constitution ratified: (http://teachingamericanhistory.org/ratification/timeline.html)September 17, 1787

(http://teachingamericanhistory.org/ratification/timeline.html)Regarding the Bill of Rights, (http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/bill_of_rights.html)

On September 25, 1789, the First Congress of the United States therefore proposed to the state legislatures 12 amendments to the Constitution that met arguments most frequently advanced against it. The first two proposed amendments, which concerned the number of constituents for each Representative and the compensation of Congressmen, were not ratified. Articles 3 to 12, however, ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures, constitute the first 10 amendments of the Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights.

Bill of rights adopted: December 15, 1791

The New United States of America Adopted the Bill of Rights
December 15, 1791
Do you know your Bill of Rights? It is the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, confirming the fundamental rights of American citizens. The new United States of America adopted them on December 15, 1791. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, speech, and the press, the rights of peaceful assembly and petition. Do you know what the others do?

Let's abolish it and put women back in kitchen where they belong, eh gents? My wife a very petite ,sweet woman ,likes it in the kitchen but --should I try to force her into the kitchen I'd learn how a sweet beautiful kitty can turn into a raging tiger in seconds. First, I'm not that crazy and secondly, I often help her cook in the kitchen and she doesn't force me either!--Tyr

Sounds good. It just kind of muddles everything up and nothing really good came after the 15th anyway.

The 19th was such a correction.

But I'm sure it would make no difference as the COTUS left the issue to the states which I'm sure would not restrict voting to the landed gentry.
