A former New York State Senator has plead guilty to corruption charges. Just another chapter in the outrageous and unbelievable record of the state's senate.

A former state senator pleaded guilty on Wednesday to funneling over $87,000 in taxpayer money through a nonprofit agency that she was running to cover shopping for herself and her relatives.

At her appearance in Federal District Court in Brooklyn, the former senator, Shirley L. Huntley, a Democrat who had represented Queens and had fiercely denied any wrongdoing, softly recounted her crimes to a courtroom filled with family members and other supporters.

Judge Jack B. Weinstein addressed her in disappointment: “I’m sorry to see you here.”

“I’m sorry to be here,” Ms. Huntley responded.

Our lamestream liberal news media loves to gush over the New York State Senate, and how they rush through laws in the middle of the night, without any public discourse or input, and enact liberal agendas. What they omit is the shady record of our Senate. This is only within the past few years:

*State Senator Carl Kruger (D) resigned his seat and pled guilty to charges of corruption and bribery. (2011)

*State Senator Hiram Monserrate (D-NY) of the 13th District, was expelled by the New York State Senate on February 9, 2010 in connection with a misdemeanor assault conviction against his girlfriend.

*State Senator Efrain Gonzalez (D-NY) On May 25, 2010, Gonzalez was sentenced to 84 months (7 years) in prison, followed by two years supervised release, after pleading guilty to two conspiracy counts and two wire fraud counts in May 2009.

*Majority Leader of the New York State Senate Pedro Espada Jr. (D) On May 14, 2012 a federal jury found Espada guilty of embezzling money from federally funded healthcare clinics, after 11 days of deliberation.

*State Senator Nicholas Spano (R), in 2012 Spano was indicted for Federal Income Tax evasion. Spano pleaded guilty to the single felony. He admitted that he underreported his income — $42,419 in federal income taxes and $10,605 in state taxes — from 2000 to 2008. He is to be sentenced to 12 to 18 months in Federal Prison in June 2012.

*State Senator Kevin Parker (D), Parker was convicted of a misdemeanor charge, criminal mischief, and on March 21, 2011 was sentenced to three years probation and a $1,000 fine for attacking a New York Post photographer and damaging the photographer's camera and car door.

*Majority Leader of the New York State Senate Joseph Bruno (R). In 2009 convicted of using his office to benefit a business paying him to be a consultant.

Now, moving beyond the New York State Senate, the rogues' gallery gets even more alarming. This article is head-spinning:
