Until 1967, I worked a lot with cranes this large and even larger cranes.

This crane was used to construct a tunnel under Lake Elizabeth that BART will use on the way to San Jose, CA. BART services the SF Bay Area but most of it is on the East Bay side.

I made plenty of money working on BART.

This wasn't even close to their biggest crane; they had a pinup calendar which had two crawler cranes connected by a 50ft+ structural tube to provide counterweight. I don't remember what that thing was rated for, 1000 tons plus I'm sure.
