Libs are coming out and showing their real intentions when it comes to gun control.

They really want gun confiscation

All semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines would be banned, all guns would be registered and no ammunition could be bought without a special permit in California under a sweeping list of bills rolled out Thursday by state Senate Democrats.

The 10-bill package constitutes the single largest gun control push in decades in the Golden State, which already boasts some of the nation's strictest gun laws. It joins equally controversial proposals from Assembly Democrats that would regulate and tax ammunition sales and consider taking the state's 166,000 registered assault weapons from their owners.

This first unified California plan comes less than a month after New York adopted its own sweeping package of new gun controls and President Barack Obama announced a package of executive actions, all in the wake of December's Connecticut schoolhouse massacre. Even as this plan emerged Thursday, House Democrats' gun violence task force was announcing 15 "policy principles," including protecting Second Amendment rights but also instituting universal background checks and reinstating a federal assault weapons ban.

"We respect the Second Amendment right of law-abiding citizens to have guns for hunting, for sport, for protecting their homes and families. But loopholes in California's tough gun laws have been exploited long enough," state Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento, said Thursday.

Tyr. Look at the bright side of this. If they want to enforce this kind of socialist rule in Californication...let them. That takes away all of the BODY-GUARDS with concealed weapons from the Snobby Celebrities, and they are gonna need to load up on ROCKS to throw at the STALKERS who breech their MULTI-MILLION-DOLLAR compounds.

Otherwise. More civilized people will eventually leave the Golden State....and Democrat Loving Former Cops...LIKE THE ONE ON THE LOOSE NOW...will be able to control the entire state...ILLEGALLY.

I always compared liberalism to a cob web in the corner. If you do not know it down as soon as you see it - it will grow and get bigger and bigger

Libs are never happy and want to keep expanding any law they pass or grow any program they start

AT I know damn well these libs will exempt their guns from this bill. As always, libs NEVER want to live under the same laws they demand we live under

I am born, raised and lived in CA for most of my 74 years. You know what keeps me here? The ffn rich democrats since i earn my living off a lot of them. We once had a great state. Too many Democraps rushed to live here and ffed it all up.

Politics means nothing to me to help people own homes, but if they pull that left wing crap on me, I set them straight.

Somebody has to stay here to fight those assholes in Sacramento. If we all flee, it will be a brand new country.

Of course they are silent on it. Do you really thing the liberal media want the people to actually know what the hell is going on in liberal run governments?

That is why Gabby hates me so much. I post this stuff and it get her tail feathers ruffled

By the way, the San Jose Mercury stopped by a few days back to get me to subscribe. $10 for a year and I told them no way.

They gave me a free copy but that copy did not change my mind.

Why pay them when I find the truth right here?

At least with the free copy you have something to line a bird cage with or wrap a dead fish with

That is about the only useful thing to do with most newspapers these days

I don't recall seeing any such limitations in the 2nd amendment. Perhaps a liberal on this board could point such a limitation in the 2nd out to us???

Marcus. I suppose you've forgotten how most liberal, democrat, progressives have a knack for making up their own facts...or, limitations, as you put it.

We must also remember. Most liberal, democrats like Obama, ignore, and wish to change, or get rid of the Constitution, with all of those MESSY, UNLIBERAL amendments that get in their way of socialism, and Mob rule.

It's just the rationalization; the disdain for the 2nd is plainly behind it. I got into a heated debate over the holidays with my bro in law. He said "what reason does anyone have for 30 round mags?" To which I retort, "what reason for ten, nor any more than one?" He decidedly dropped the issue; claiming I was being ridiculous.(I think he meant hyperbolic) Yet, here it is today with further restrictions being submitted under the same rationale. The most effective means of reducing gun crime is to ban guns. That's the underlying rationale that few control advocates have the audacity to admit; but its clearly their goal. Freedom, rights and responsibilities aren't things that can be bestowed forcibly; leaving those with the power and authority curiously without-- demanding their attention forthright. While those under comforted by their capabilities to express their rights and/or take responsibility quickly lend their support for the usurpation-- why wouldn't they; they don't have anything to lose. But the question becomes, IMO; how shall a right survive if so many do not see merit in it?

I guess they are not interested

The last thing a liberal wants to do on this board is face the truth of what the true intentions of the Democrat party are (regardless of the issue)
