i am sure some of you read what they are doing in Florida over the python problem.

To help some of you out, they caught 68 of them over a short period of time. The large males (3 of them) were tagged with radio transmitters and sent back out, mate hunting. It is time for them to breed so what better way to nab the females than to have the males find them.

They can easily track the snakes. The problem as I see it is how do they know the male found a female and is breeding?

Anybody know about snakes?

Easy. Just dress up as a big rabbit, and wander around in the Everglades.

When you suddenly discover you can't breathe, you'll know you've found a python. A big one. Or he has found you.

Might be hard to bring him in, though, when you're inside his stomach.

Are there pythons capable of swallowing a human?

Or is that just a fable from a JLo movie?

If you dress up as a big rabbit, you're more likely to end up in a cell (jail or mental hospital) than in the belly of a python.

Depends upon whether you dress as a male or female rabbit.

I've seen them swallow deer, an alligator and lots of other wildlife. No doubt a larger python could squeeze the life out of a human, not sure about the swallowing though. I've heard of some of them 15-20 feet? I would think one that size could do the trick. I had very small pythons over the years that could swallow a dead rat that was 3x the size of the thing!

Finally got back to this topic and found stuff to laugh about.

Still no way to find out how they know the snake is breeding. I understand the tracking device. Surely they won't just try to follow the snake constantly?

Some of you used NSFW .... what does that stand for?
