Take a good look at this graph that the EPA shows.
First the bottom scale is changes to the Sun Temperature. Note that the graph for the sun represents a one degree change (use a ruler if you doubt me) as .300 of one inch.
But look at the climate change graph. Note that to exaggerate it, they show a one degree in change as 1.3 inches.
Why do you think they would exaggerate? I suggest you double click the chart to take a good look, maybe print it out.
I would also like to point out that temperature does not mean a climate changed. Take the Sahara desert for instance. That climate is not changing and it is very hot there.
