TSA Useless - Off-duty Cop to the Rescue!

It happened at the airport when someone tried to enter a restricted area and it was all caught on tape.This security video shows a Transportation Security Administration employee guarding a restricted area at the Honolulu International Airport last Saturday.
But around 12:53 p.m., a normal day became anything but that.
“The woman was smoking a cigarette. Security said to put it out. She became agitated and came across a TSA worker and started assaulting her," said Tori Schwartz, a spokesperson for the Hawaii Department of Public Safety.


Kind of disturbing how useless fellow TSA workers are to a colleague in distress.

While not NYC, my brother was deputy chief of police for nearly 15 years. The city has only 55k people, but is home to one of the largest hospitals in the 5 country area, the major trauma center for most of western Cook County and DuPage and Kane Counties. They have very visible security both electronic and persons. It made my brother crazy though, that even with armed security, whenever some druggie or psycho would go off kilter, the security folks would tell everyone, including each other, to 'wait for the police.' Basically about 20 years ago, when he was a commander, they just decided to keep several squad cars within 2 minutes of the hospital.

I guess the 'security' is really to keep folks that might smoke too close to the doors back? They make a decent wage for that. ;)
