Dallas Deputy Unlawful Arrest Of Stunt Biker To Get Helmet Cam Video

The Dallas Sheriff’s deputy who arrested a motorcyclist on Memorial Day (http://www.pixiq.com/article/dallas-deputy-arrests-motorcyclist-wearing-head-cam)after he refused to hand over his video camera as evidence against other bikers was suspended today for more than a month without pay, which is more punishment than we normally see in these incidents.

Deputy James Westbrook will serve a 38-day unpaid suspension for pulling over Chris Moore, then telling him he was going to seize his helmet camera as evidence against other bikers, some who were apparently speeding and driving recklessly.

When Moore reminded him he had no right to seize the camera, Moore arrested him for an obstructed license plate.

The above video, which was shot from Moore’s helmet camera, indicates that Moore’s license plate was not obstructed.

Bullshit punishment. That cop needs to be charged with battery, false imprisonment, and face serious jail time. I hope the biker gets MILLIONS in a lawsuit.

Why didn't the cop get the plate of the biker who was continually moving in his lane, cutting him off and hitting his brakes?

We must all be constantly reminded. No matter what our thoughts PRO, or CON may be about Police officers.

THEY ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAWS they have been sworn to observe, and protect.

Like every other aspect of our society. No matter who, or what anyone may be, or do.

We all know. There are always members of society who become the Expected Example of either GOOD, or BAD that
the people always Group into ALL.

Why didn't the cop get the plate of the biker who was continually moving in his lane, cutting him off and hitting his brakes?

He thought it would be easier to catch the one guy who didn't look like he was trying to get away?
