That is interesting and thank you for sharing although she was neither queen when Truman President nor Truman President when she was queen. If we're going to be picky about it. :poke:

Let's hope she makes it four more years so she doesn't have to end on a low note though.

It's just the way it was written is all - she is queen now, Truman was president at one time. I think where I read this they were simply pointing out that she has met all of these men.

But according to Wiki - Truman was in office '45-'53 and the Queen has been in "charge" from '52

You could be right, my bad. I looked at her coronation date which was in '53. I was surprised she wouldn't have met FDR at some point which had me looking when I found this (http://www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu/aboutfdr/royalvisit.html):

When Franklin Roosevelt invited England's King George VI for a visit to the United States, the significance of the invitation did not go unnoticed. No reigning British Monarch had ever set foot on American soil, not even in colonial times. Ever since America declared its independence from England in 1776, the United States and Great Britain oftentimes experienced tense relations, but Roosevelt's invitation to the King carried great significance in the history of Anglo-American relations, not only because of their colonial past, but more importantly, because it signified the dawn of a new era in American and British cooperation.

Kinda amazing if you think about it. How many people can say they have met all of those Presidents? And the Queen has been in the White House more than probably like 99% of US citizens!

fj. That low-note being the removal of Winston Churchill's bust from the Oval Office, and the Obama's giving her CD collection of music, I suspect, and meeting Obama?

Can't disagree with you on that.

The CD collection was kinda dumb. However, the bust thing has been, well, busted. There were two, one still a permanent resident of the White House, and one on loan. the on loan bust was returned to GB. A large flap over nothing. I have many more important reasons not to like President Obama or his policies.

Kathianne. Good eye on that one about LBJ.

But. If memory serves me. LBJ was spending most of his time arguing with Westmoreland about Bombing campaigns over Vietnam.
Seems he spent a lot of time, trying to convince the American people he needed to send thousands of Americans into Vietnam
because HE INSISTED...two U.S.Navy ships were attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin by CHARLIE....and it made LBJ happy. So, no Queen
visits were in his Future.

Agreed. And, sorry to go off topic here. But I just couldn't resist sharing my feelings about LBJ for our Black American citizens who were fooled, and are still convinced how wonderful LBJ wanted them to believe he was.

Like everyone asks about Obama's HOPE and CHANGE thing...that still hasn't materialized.

We should also be asking those Black Americans who voted for Obama twice...."How's that GREAT SOCIETY thing working?"

In case some may be wondering what the GREAT SOCIETY is.

That was the very same kind of Promise LBJ made to Black Americans back in 1965, when he promised them...EVERYTHING Obama promised them.

And I still wonder. To all of you Black Americans who love Obama. "How's that working out after all these years?"

LBJ ABSOLUTELY AND DEARLY HATED BLACKS. Too many insiders can relate the personal/private comments he so often made about blacks. All of the comments were offensive and none were of praise.. Fact.
