NEW YORK (AP) — Ex-CIA director David Petraeus (peh-TRAY'-uhs) is replacing one kind of intelligence work with another.

Macaulay (muh-KAHL'-lee) Honors College at City University of New York said Tuesday the retired four-star general has been named a visiting professor for public policy. He starts Aug. 1.

Petraeus has a doctorate from Princeton University and has written widely on international relations, military strategy and tactics and national security issues.

He says in a statement released by Macaulay he's pleased to teach at the college, where most students are children of immigrants. He says he looks forward to leading a seminar on the global economic slowdown.

Petraeus was a hero of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He left the CIA in scandal last November after it was uncovered he'd had an affair with his biographer.

Petraeus has a new gig, but not Princeton

No, Gen. Petraeus will never be allowed access to the bastions of the liberal elite. They burned any possible bridges long ago. Though he studied there, my alma mater no longer wants any mention of him - he is an unperson to them.

And the General proves he is a FAR BETTER, SMARTER, Human being than any of those Unpersons at Princton.
Looks like the LIBERAL ELITE, and MOVEON. ORG are joined at the LIP.

I am wondering what Petraeus wife did once she learned the truth?

A man of his vast experience can help many others. Maybe the war college turned him down. Maybe West Point did.

He worked for a fine officer. General Tommy Franks had him heading up the 101 airborne division in Iraq.

Never knew you graduated from Princeton. Your major was? Your alma mater bests both Gabby's and mine. Princeton tied with Harvard for #1 in US News and World rankings, http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities beating out Yale.

Mine came in at #4, also in a tie. I'm pretty sure Gabby matriculated from UC Berkeley, #21.

Aerospace and Mechanical Sciences (AMS), as they called it then. Now I think they've turned it around, MAS. Cretins. Minor in philosophy.

Correctly pronouced Hahvad.

I never knew Mike McCurry, though he apparently graduated in the same class as I. Vaguely remember Sotomayor.

The JFK Alma Mater. Loved the way he smiled and also said "Hahvad!" Congratulations Little-Acorn. Admire your tenacity here.
