The daughter of a British imam is living under police protection after receiving death threats from her father for converting to Christianity.

The 31-year-old, whose father is the leader of a mosque in Lancashire, has moved house an astonishing 45 times after relatives pledged to hunt her down and kill her.

"I know the Koran says anyone who goes away from Islam should be killed as an apostate, so in some ways my family are following the Koran. They are following Islam to the word.

But when she opted to get baptised, while studying at Manchester University, her family were incensed and the death threats began.
Her father arrived at her home with 40 men and threatened to kill her for betraying Islam.
"I saw my uncle and around 40 men storming up the street clutching axes, hammers, knives and bits of wood," she said.
"My dad was shouting through the letter box, "I'm going to kill you", while the others smashed on the window and beat the door.
"They were shouting, 'We're going to kill you' and 'Traitor'.

I guess none of the people in this article are 'really' Islamic, right Jahil???

Just a clear example of the true face of Islam. The Brits will ignore, overlook and even deny this example. It doesn't fit into the big lie about the gentle and peaceful nature of Islam.

What say you Jafar, are those making death threats Islamists? Is the Imam an infidel?

there's a fair amount of this in Islamic countries. It's extremely dangerous to convert to Christianity there. But it;s not easy to convert anywhere.
some orthodox Jews disown their children but too many Muslims are ready to kill their children if they convert. not much peace there.

Huge difference, which I assume was your point.

Here's one that got past me.

No enormous surprise in the story .. though, it is highly instructive to anyone who'd be likely to be taken in by Jafar's sanitising rot ...

Thanks for posting this.

Correct, Tyr. As I just posted, this story got by me. I didn't buy a copy of the newspaper today, and - surprise surprise - no radio or TV broadcast I've heard has covered it.

The usual approach will come into effect. To characterise this as 'extremist', therefore not typical of mainstream Islam. Tyr, whenever a new story emerges here of bomb threats, or actual bombings, or when propaganda of the type that Choudary puts out, or, when discussing Abu Katada ... people like that ... the characterisations are always the same. They're 'extremists'. In that way, people are lulled into not caring, thinking they themselves will never meet such 'extremism' in real life.

And the reports just KEEP happening. More bombers emerge. More examples of cruelties and worse.

Jafar, I too would like to see you answer Tyr's question.

That is how its being down here but to a lesser degree my friend. Each year that passes it will increase ,that is the silent behind the scenes workings of the muslims and their organizations here. We are rapidly headed down that same road. A few months back I came to the conclusion that Britain is doomed to the fate that it invited upon itself. Sad, very sad but a reality now. The socialists invited in their deceiving ally and they too will find out to late! -Tyr

I agree with your analysis, of course, as to how Britain has gone.

... with, I think, one exception (which, granted, is open to interpretation ..). You say that we invited our fate upon ourselves. Well ... did we ?

If taken as criticism of our willingness to vote Socialists into power, you have a point.

If taken in another way .. I'd say less so. My case is that we were led by the nose into accepting the loosest imaginable controls, both in terms of immigration, AND in being persuaded that to do less than defer to minority groupings, such as Muslims, was interpretable, nearly automatically, as 'racist' in nature.

So, thanks to the Labour Party, anyone challenging Muslim demands, or customs, could be called 'racist'. At its worst, it was classifiable as a 'hate crime' and actionable in law.

Still, there's currently something of a backlash going on.

We had local council elections last week. The UK Independence Party did remarkably well.

Just days previously, David Cameron went on air, on a London local radio station (LBC), to denounce UKIP as 'fruitcakes and loonies' (UKIP have an anti-immigration policy, as well as being anti-EU membership). Then, the elections were held, and UKIP gained a lot of supporters chiefly at the expense of the Conservatives, of which Cameron is its leader.

Now, Cameron acknowledges that UKIP is deserved respect, instead .. as he has to, if he's to make up the ground his Party has lost.

UKIP is not a Party to unthinkingly defer to minority groups. I'm sure they will pose a future challenge to the culture of deference that now exists. So, hope is not entirely dead.

So, was the unnamed father of the girl arrested and charged with attempted murder with intent in the 5 years since this story appeared?
