Another example of liberals putting party ahead of all else.

Women kidnapped, raped, and beaten. That is fine great since it takes attention away from the Obama coverup of the murder of four US citizens

On Wednesday's All In show, MSNBC host Chris Hayes was gleeful over media coverage of the Benghazi hearings being preempted by both the story of three girls kidnapped and held prisioner for a decade in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as the verdict in the Jodi Arias murder trial. Hayes flippantly referred to the crime stories as "the next (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2013/05/09/msnbcs-hayes-gloats-over-kidnapping-and-murder-stories-preempting-ben#) Lifetime original movie" as he teased the segment at the top of the show:

Good evening from New York. I'm Chris Hayes. Thank (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2013/05/09/msnbcs-hayes-gloats-over-kidnapping-and-murder-stories-preempting-ben#) you for joining us. Cautionary tales abound tonight. A Republican Congressman tries to manufacture the next Watergate, but instead gets upstaged by the next Lifetime original movie.

At about 8:15 p.m., he plugged the segment again during a commercial break:

Still to come, the only thing that can kill a story manufactured for cable (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2013/05/09/msnbcs-hayes-gloats-over-kidnapping-and-murder-stories-preempting-ben#) news is an even more lurid and more shameful story manufactured for cable news. I'll explain why Darrell Issa and Roger Ailes are having us sad tonight.

At about 8:43 p.m., the MSNBC host mocked conservatives for being so interested in Benghazi as he introduced the segment:

Today was set up to be a big day, a very big day for Roger Ailes; the Fox Network; Drudge Report readers; the denizens of Michelle Malkin's Web site, Twitchy; Sean Hannity (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2013/05/09/msnbcs-hayes-gloats-over-kidnapping-and-murder-stories-preempting-ben#)'s radio audience, and Congressman Darrell Issa. Why? Because today was (LOWERS HIS VOICE) Benghazi day.

After playing clips of several Fox News (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2013/05/09/msnbcs-hayes-gloats-over-kidnapping-and-murder-stories-preempting-ben#) hosts talking up the Benghazi hearings, Hayes moved to undermine the notion of scandal in spite of Fox News attention:

So Fox News was all geared up today to really capture the outrage, to embrace the much-hyped whistle blower who second-guessed a decision allegedly made by Special Operations Command Africa not to send Special Forces from Tripoli, the capital, to Benghazi, the site of the consulate, after insurgents attacked the mission there.

A Pentagon spokesman reiterated today that Special Forces could not have made it to Benghazi in time to save lives and were needed in Tripoli to help secure the embassy there.

He continued:

That's not important because Fox was all teed up, promos had been made, hosts were properly outraged, the coverage plan was in motion, and then the cable news apocalypse happened.

After showing clips of FNC switching from Benghazi to crime story coverage, Hayes asserted that Fox was "sort of amusingly knocked off their game today," and accused the news network of "monomanical persistence" that has "created an entire alternate universe in which Benghazi is the most pressing issue facing the country right now, and Congress, your representatives are listening."

At last, during Wednesday's hearing, some facts tumbled out as if the town drunk spilled his beer.

And it was not pretty.

It shows how this could have been prevented. It shows a Col charged to secure our people ordered to stand down,--- "do not go to Benghazi."

It is clear that the Ambassador died due to the fire, so it is possible the officer by going would not have helped, but this sent a signal to terrorists.

Suppose as a terrorist you wanted to learn how the present Admin plans to act.

You see them in cover up mode. Each republican congressman stuck to the facts.

Each Democrat however stuck to clouding what happened in the belief they covered for Obama.

We know it is a cover up. We heard enough Wednesday to figure that much out.

If you rely on DNCTV for your "news" your would not have seen one minute of the hearings and would be told the hearings were nothing but a personal attack on Hillary and Obama

I don't watch DNCTV but everything I've seen from it is always attacking FOX news and not covering any stories. What few viewers they have have got to be blithering idiots.

Speaking of blithering idiots.................

When it comes to NBC and its sister network MSNBC, Chuck Todd is one of the few journalists that actually attempt to be fair. However, there are times when Todd will make a statement that makes you pause and question how much he's co-opted by the network's determination to be Obama boosters.

On his May 10 Daily Rundown program, the veteran White House correspondent claimed that when it comes to Benghazi, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “is going to benefit it seems a little bit in this one respect if [it appears] that her opponents try too hard."

At issue was the guest panel’s belief that Republicans have overplayed their hand regarding Benghazi. According to Todd's guest Bob Herbert of the left-wing think tank Demos:

This is where the Republicans just so frequently seem to be tone deaf. If they want to just come down on Hillary, clobber, clobber, clobber, looking at 2016, it’s going to backfire. And it will redound to the benefit of Hillary Clinton.
Herbert, a former New York Times columnist and former NBC News reporter, continued his unabashed support for Clinton, which Todd failed to challenge:

There are legitimate questions, if they address it as serious legislator’s serious government officials trying to get to the answers of a serious issue, that's one thing. But I think that they find it irresistible to just pound, pound, pound on Hillary Clinton. And that’s what I think will back fire.
No one on the panel, which included liberal Politico reporter Maggie Haberman and Time’s Radhika Jones thought once to challenge the notion that Benghazi is simply a political ploy created by Republicans to hinder Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential ambitions.

Had Todd wanted to be an actual journalist instead of a Hillary sympathizer, he would have mentioned a new report out from ABC News this morning showing the Obama administration edited the Benghazi talking points 12 times, removing substantial portions of earlier drafts. According to ABC’s Jon Karl (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/scott-whitlock/2013/05/10/abc-investigates-not-true-white-house-statements-libya-exposes-editi):

What was taken out? All references to al Qaeda and all references to CIA warnings before the attack about the terror threat in Benghazi.
The Obama administration was heavily involved in dramatically editing the CIA talking points, but if you watch MSNBC, you would think Hillary Clinton’s State Department was not involved at all. Instead, Todd chose to prop up the false talking point that the Benghazi hearings are simply political theater aimed at taking Hillary Clinton out of contention for the 2016 presidential race.
