7 Caught Trespassing At Quabbin Reservoir; Patrols Stepped Up Across State May 14, 2013 9:55 PM
BELCHERTOWN (CBS) – Shortly after midnight Tuesday, seven people were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.

State Police say the five men and two women are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and “cited their education and career interests” for being in the area. The men told police they were chemical engineers and recent college graduates.

The Quabbin (http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/central/quabbin.htm), in Belchertown, is one of the country’s largest man-made public water supplies. Boston’s drinking water comes from the Quabbin and the Wachusett Reservoirs.

State Police say there were no warrants or advisories on any of the individuals and “there was no evidence that the seven were committing any crime beyond the trespassing.”

All seven were allowed to leave and will be summonsed to court for trespassing. The FBI is investigating and routine checks of public water supplies have been increased following the incident.

The seven individuals currently live in Amherst, Cambridge, Sunderland, Northampton and New York City. Police have not released their names because a court date has not been set.

So are they here on student visas and are they 'regularly attending' classes?

Quabbin Reservoir breach sparks investigation <!-- Subtitle --> Water security eyed after seven caught trespassing

</time>Security at a water source for more than 2 million people in Greater Boston was never increased after the marathon bombings, authorities said yesterday as state police and the FBI probe why seven people claiming to be international college students and chemical engineers made a mysterious after-midnight field trip to the Quabbin Reservoir.

State police, environmental police and DCR rangers said yesterday they did not place additional patrols at the reservoir in recent weeks, stressing that security at the reservoir has been “tight” since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in New York and Washington.

“The reservoir was already identified as part of critical infrastructure after 9/11/01 and therefore already was a hard target with multi-layered security in place,” state police spokesman David Procopio told the Herald in an email. “Case in point: troopers noticed and engaged these seven pretty quickly.”

Police did not identify the seven trespassers, who were spotted in two cars about 12:30 a.m. yesterday. They told the trooper they were chemical engineers and recent college grads who wanted to see the reservoir because of their career interests, Procopio said. All seven were released and will be issued court summons. State police alerted the FBI and the Commonwealth Fusion Center.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority tested the water and found nothing suspicious.

One of the alleged trespassers is a Saudi national; two are from Bangladesh; two more from Pakistan; one is from India and the other is a United States citizen, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Ross Feinstein. All are in the country lawfully, he said — five on student visas, and one is a legal permanent resident. Procopio said they listed addresses in Amherst, Cambridge, Sunderland, Northampton and New York City.

Chemical engineers no less, nah nothing to worry about , just a few foreign born student chemical engineers checking (scouting) out the drinking water source for a major U.S. city.--Tyr

All we can say for sure is that if they are Muslims, they're not real Muslims.

According to Obama, and his kindergarten administration. There is NO SUCH THING as terror, terrorists, war on terror, or any threats to Americans by terror suspects.

Why is everyone so scared about something Obama says....DOES NOT EXIST...since he single-handedly Killed OBL???
