Jimmy Johnson got robbed last week at Dover he should of won that race but the car in first place knew just what he was doing the only chance he had to beat Johnson was to hold back so much that if JJ was to wait to give him his spot back the entire field would of went by , NASCAR needs to make better rules than that

Ya know, I forgot to discuss this with you, and that's why I told you I was pissed (but you still didn't watch the race yet). I think Montoya laid back purposely. If JJ followed the rules to the T, there would have been a pile-up behind them or similar. And Montoya didn't spin them either, he simply didn't go. I have NO doubt that this was somewhat planned. Why else would he sit back if he were in the lead?

Meh, JJ still has a 30 point lead or so and is a shoe in for the chase. That win sure would have helped as far as chase standings though!

The 42 car with out a doubt did it on purpose it was his only way to win if JJ did let off to give him his spot back the entire field would of went around him and as it was JJ said he was only at half throttle trying to let the 42 catch him so he could give the spot back , but they knew there only chance in beating JJ was to lay way back and then put the field between himself and JJ

The only good thing to come out of that was seeing Stewart win and once again leaving Montoya behind.

JJ, every the gentleman, didn't let it faze him. He's one of the best on the field and off.

JJ broke the rule so lost a lap.

Stewart won anyway.

Those drivers who have done this for a long time know the rules and know how to drive to put themselves in the best shape. Johnson could have saved himself by slowing down a tad.

Stewart might well have still won the race.

Has anybody knowledge for the origin of that rule?

If you had listened in on the radio JJ was at half throttle waiting to give the spot back , Montoya wanted him to slow more so that when he caught him the entire field would of been running fast enough to pass Jimmy which would of left him no chance to come back , and if you watched the race there is no way the 42 took off like he was suppose to and JJ pulled away the way he did , these cars all have enough horse power to take off together and make it a race to see who gets back to the start finish line

The rule says if you pass the lead car you must give him his spot back which JJ tried to do , this was a planned strategy by the 42 car because he knew he couldn't beat JJ but it didn't help him anyway it only hurt JJ , guess that's why the 42 has one win and JJ has something like 60 plus 5 championships , when your good and have good equipment yes you have strategies but they are to help you win not to hurt other drivers
