Yup Charlie Daniels is speaking up and he is one proud American not afraid to do so

If there’s one straight talker who isn’t afraid to let the media have it over the public flaying of celebrity chef Paula Deen, it’s country and Southern rock legend Charlie Daniels.

Charlie Daniels is about the same age as Paula Deen. Of course he feels the same way.
She needs to admit she screwed up and move on with it. If she had made a believable mea culpa to begin with, the whole thing would be forgotten by now.

I have just a small observation on this thing. This is a 66 year old woman we are discussing, born in the south. I am certain she heard her family members use perjorative terms in relation to African Americans. I am younger than she is and I was born in Queens for pete's sake and I heard it. What you grow up around and hear all the time, you absorb. You can suppress it, if you are a sensible person. I am well aware my parents and grandparents were expressing old racial prejudices I had no wish to be party to. I still hear those prejudicial attitudes in my head when I see certain news items etc. Am I racist? Maybe, but you'd never know it by talking to me because I refuse to allow those prejudices off the leash. Ms. Paula has, apparently, a temper and a good deal of power over her employees. I am much less concerned over her use of a perjorative word than I am over the case being made on a pattern of discrimination in her employment practices. If you are running internationally branded companies, you need to be professional. But here again is the media going crazy over the wrong issue. And I wonder why they haven't picked up on something else. Anthony Bourdain has been publicly critical of Paula Deen. Anybody look at what he has been up to that doesn't stand close scrutiny? How about a visit to Cuba touting the wonders of Castro's little "paradise"? What Travel Channel didn't cover is the largely racial abuse occurring right off camera. Hypocritical much?

F-that bullshat.. They as far as I've found out are by far more prejudice and even self-righteously arrogant about it too. I value truth over all other considerations and the truth is there is a surge on to beat down all those that do not cower down to the new rising power of socialism, lefties and their GD ALLIES. All brought to us by Obama ,his admin and its allies. F-THAT AND FFF ALL OF THEM!! I am a proud and patriotic American that cuts no ice with anybody. She deserves no punishment when they(BLACKS) are celebrated for doing the same GD THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--Tyr

1. She used the word that blacks to this day use all the time, yet there is no repercussions when they do it. One has to guess whites are not up to par with blacks.
2. Her use had nothing to do with the lawsuit, yet this ancient word once used by most of the public, was brought up in desk top testimony where she told the truth. For being honest, she has lost millions of dollars. Yet it costs blacks nothing for using the same word.
3. Blacks are deeply prejudiced against whites yet they do so with no penalty.

I just now read Tyr's follow up post and he beat me to the punch. Give a shout out to Tyr. Thanks Tyr.
As soon as the system lets me, more rep to you my good man.

Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TV's Seinfeld. He makes some very interesting points.

Someone finally said it. How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans.

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You Call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" ... and that's OK.

But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled A l-Nabi. You have the NAACP. You have BET. If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists. If we had White History Month , we'd be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students <nobr>scholarships (http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/proudwhite.asp#)</nobr> you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black <nobr>Colleges (http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/proudwhite.asp#)</nobr> in the US . Yet if there were "White colleges" THAT would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud. But you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?
