I've been drawing a blank on this one, oddly.
Either that means
(a) There haven't been any bills offered, or debates engaged, on borrowing and the National Debt Ceiling recently, or
(b) My Google-fu is unusually weak this month.
Both seem unlikely, but I lean toward choice (b) above, if for no other reason than (a) is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE.
The reason (a) isimpossible, is because money, spending, and borrowing is the life and breath of our modern government.
And since Sequestration kicked in in April, and we hit the Debt Ceiling on May 18, the government HASN'T BORROWED A DIME.
That's right, the Federal budget has been balanced for the last 3-1/2 months. Or it would have been if we had a Fededral budget, which we haven't for four years and still don't.
Check out the attached chart.
Does anyone know where to find records of bills offered, discussions held, etc. for Congress? Specifically, I mean, not just "It's at House.gov or in the Congressional Record".

I can't find any trace of any current bills about the Debt Ceiling there, or about Congressional discussions of same.
Do you have a specific link?

House Republicans pass restrictive debt ceiling bill
By Agence France-Presse
Thursday, May 9, 2013 19:31 EDT
The US House passed a Republican bill along party lines Thursday that lawmakers say would remove the threat of default, while requiring the government to prioritize its debt and pension payments.
The legislation would allow the US Treasury to borrow beyond its legal limit in order to pay down government debt and make Social Security payments, in the event that Congress fails to negotiate a rise of the debt ceiling in the coming weeks.

There are a few White House, Democrat...LIES sites that brag about the Debt, and Lie about how Republicans keep obstructing.
You could try the G.A.O. http://www.gao.gov/docsearch/repandtest.html
Can't really depend on their numbers either. They tend to BRAG about the Admin, and sometimes report numbers OBAMA and Dems don't want to make the public aware of.

So your complaint about Dem lies doesn't really carry much weight then does it.

I thought you stated that ALL politicians lie. :dunno: Yes but the dems would do so for the sheer joy of it were it not a required professional activity. And that makes them a special kind of animal IMHO.-Tyr

I would think you'd have a higher opinion of yourself but nevertheless I see no actual argument coming from you today.

You actually are...the very first, mentally challenged member I have spoken to here. My opinion of myself has nothing to do with the DEPTH of your Dirt.
