Wow! Just so everyone knows i'm not jobless or anything, my son was hit by a car two weeks ago yesterday and broke his leg in 3 places. Last week my wife stayed home and this week its my turn except for tommorrow. I clean the house and do yardwork in the cool morning hours and kick lib ass here afterwards.:coffee:

He's fine now, it was his fault anyway, kid didn't look both ways admittedly.

That's good to hear, some of those breaks can be nasty buggers.

Well when you are 10 its better to have someting like this happen to you then rather than older like us, they don't have to worry about arthritis etc. etc., they heal quick as hell too.

Good to hear your sons ok. I'm not working now either. Waiting on a pension. Would be on more but the internet connection here is intermittent at best. baghdad DSL has better connection time then I do.

I did notice your sudden increase in posts here, so that explains it.

Gawd that's AWESOME. If you were a Liberal you'd be suing the Car maker, The Driver, the City (who created the road), your son's sneakers maker (who created the show which didn't warn him to NOT lace them up and run into the street..)...etc...etc...

Btw - tell your wife Hi for me. She sounded nice on the phone.

:D

Well the only thing that pissed me off was that the gal who hit him did not come to or call the hospital and check on him, let me tell you I was pissed off about that and I told the cops so after they tried to give me some bullshit explanation about how she was all broke up about it and that some people handle stuff differently.......bullshit, if I hit a dog much less a human being i'm either gonna scoop the dog up and throw it in my truck and take it to the vets myself or i'm gonna follow the animal control to the vets to make sure I didn't kill or maim this dog for life, a human being? Fugghedaboutit! Right there in the emergency room waiting room i'd be.

In the end all I got was here dropping off insurance info to my inlaws, to this second i've never met her. Bitch.

I hear you on that. The best thing I ever did for other and myself, was call the guy who sideswiped me at 80 MPH. I was in a convertible with top down, LeBaron, with my then 14 year old son. The guy that clipped us was in a Toyota, he was trying to find something on the passenger side floor.

When he hit me, his airbag deployed, thrusting his arm/finger into his eye, which he lost. He called me to apologize, getting my voicemail. I called him back while he was still in the hospital, concerned about his mental state. I told him my son, who had bailed out of car, onto traffic, whom I grabbed and tackled to ground was fine. We were both fine. This kid, 20 years old, was seriously concerned about my son. It was the best thing I've ever done, spontaneously.

Me too, it's aweful to go through anything like that, and I know from experience, hopefully it doesn't lead to chronic pain, that would suck, if it does let me know ive been dealing with it for over three years now and I may havve some ideas for him.

Oh no, this was like nearly 10 years ago. We are all fine. The kid that hit us, I think he was surprised we never tried to collect more than collision. We were fine, my son was shook up, but my tackling him brought him home. :laugh2: Considering he was 5'8" then and I 5'2" nearly, with him 20 pounds ahead of me, no balking. As for the 'kid', we still exchange Christmas cards, he's married now with kids. I feel so bad about his eye, but not my fault.
