Charlie Rangel: 'Tea Party is a Bunch of White Crackers'

WE have a woman that used the N word 25 years ago and she loses her job but this guy talks about White Crackers and it is OK, something is wrong here, racism is racism period

Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-NY) made some colorful remarks in a Daily Beast interview released Friday. Most notably, he called Tea Partiers and other Republicans "white crackers (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/08/02/charlie-rangel-on-immigration-pope-francis-his-successor.html)."

If racial slurs against minorities are taboo, why do anti-white slurs escape scrutiny? The media ruined Paula Deen's career (http://abcnews.go.com/Business/paula-deens-empire-continues-crumble-wake-racial-slurs/story?id=19534224#6) for admitting that she used the N-word decades ago in private, but it couldn't care less about an elected official's public bigotry against whites.

Almost any TEA party attendee at The Villiages will proudly confirm being a Cracker, except for those unfortunate to be a transplant. Why do these idiots keep trying to co-opt a term that communicates Florida pride?
