Obama urges Greece to focus on jobs, growth

President Obama, in a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Thursday, expressed support for Greece’s efforts to restructure its economy and stressed the need for the country to start focusing on jobs and growth.
In remarks after their meeting at the White House, Obama said he’s confident that Greece can succeed in its effort to reduce its debt burden, kick-start its economy and tackle crippling unemployment.
“The stakes are high,” Obama said, “not only for Greece but also Europe and the world economy.”
