No way should this woman be making money in this Country, but just like and Hollywood idiot she is a fake, lives her life one way and believes another, I myself wouldn't watch her movies if I was paid to but this is really a slap in the face a traitor liberal playing the part of a fine woman like Nancy Reagan

Jane Fonda's turn as Nancy Reagan in the new film "The Butler" is angering veterans across the country, and "Hanoi Jane" isn’t doing much to help the situation.

An infamously vocal liberal, Fonda sparked controversy in 1972 when she visited enemy territory in North Vietnam and was photographed sitting on top of an anti-aircraft battery. That picture and her opposition to the war (http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/Jane-Fonda-Unforgivable-Mistake/2013/04/03/id/497721?s=al) — she was once quoted calling American soldiers murderers — earned her the nickname "Hanoi Jane."

Now, veterans are outraged that "Hanoi Jane" is playing Nancy Reagan, beloved wife of staunch military supporter and conservative President Ronald Reagan, in Lee Daniels' "The Butler." Many veterans' groups are picketing the film outside at their local movie theaters.

"I was outraged that [the makers of the film] would do stunt casting and have this traitor to our nation be cast portraying someone so honorable," Larry Reyes, a 20-year Navy veteran who lives in South Carolina, told GwdToday.com. (http://gwdtoday.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=27&ArticleID=26400) "'Hanoi Jane' should not make one penny in our nation, one she has betrayed."

In the movie review that I read (albeit quickly) Jane, or Reagan for that matter, were never mentioned, so thanks for bringing this to my attention, because I probably would have paid to see it. I was under the impression that it was an historical account about a black man in maybe the 50's or 60's acting dignified while white folks in places of power did not but eventually learned a lesson from his example. Sort of a
Driving Miss Daisy". Now it seems that it's just an attack on Reagan.

A good movie based on history in the theme I like that is on pay-per-view now is called "The Sapphires". It's about four aboriginal Australian women in the 60's who show such dignity in the face of racism.

I think that is the plot, thus the "attack on reagan" wasn't mentioned in the review because it wasn't important to the film's plot, the "
story of White House butler Eugene Allen, who served eight U.S. presidents over the course of 30 years, and witnessed sweeping social change during his three decades of service at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue." - fandango

Seems a bit of a stretch that a movie told from the POV of a black man need include eight presidents over thirty years in order to bash one president by way of casting an anti-war actress in the role of a former first lady. I'd go so far as to say the article is more likely over-reaching hogwash than The Butler attacks Reagan.

If she even has a brief 5 second walk on in a movie I refuse to watch it. I don't care how good it might be. I wouldn't even steal a movie she's in.

I agree with Larry Reyes 100% not one penny, not two mention a complete Disrespect For a Very Classy First Lady, it appears to be a interesting story but won't be getting my money.

yet another movie that I will not be seeing. Which is too bad because all in all it was a great idea and could have been a great movie.
