COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Danish police say they found 30 dead dogs, including 25 puppies, in a freezer while investigating complaints of loud barking.
Police spokesman Soeren Bach says they discovered the dogs on Monday at a 66-year-old man's house after he had refused to pay fines for disturbing the peace and ignored an April court order banning him from keeping dogs on his property in Hjoerring, northern Denmark.
Bach said Tuesday that the man, who was not named, was not at home at the time. Officers had a warrant to seize any dogs on the premises. They found four live dogs and a snake.
He said the dead dogs were found during a "routine" search of the house. It was unclear how the animals had died.

There just aren't the words, Tyr. At least ... I don't have them to express my disgust.

The dog-eat-dog world of the 2012 presidential campaign just got a little nastier.
The Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher on Tuesday flagged (http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/17/obama-bites-dog/) a passage from President Barack Obama’s memoir “Dreams From My Father,” in which Obama recalls eating dog meat in Indonesia when he was a young boy. (The president describes the meat as “tough,” but not as tough as the snake meat he also ate.)

<!--/.story-embed--> “Say what you want about Romney, but at least he only put a dog on the roof of his car, not the roof of his mouth,” Treacher wrote, referencing the infamous tale (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0412/74983.html) about Mitt Romney’s dog Seamus being forced to ride on the roof of the former governor’s family car during a highway drive in the 1980s — a bizarre story that the Obama campaign has seized on to question the character of the president’s likely Republican opponent

There just aren't the words, Tyr. At least ... I don't have them to express my disgust. IN MY OPINION THE SOB NEEDS TO HAVE HIS SORRY ASS STOMPED LIKE A SOUTHERN MAN KNOWS HOW TO DO IT. I am by no means an "animal rights nut" but such savagery deserves severe punishment.--Tyr

If only he had some normal animals in his freezer instead. Then everything would be fine.

Terrorists ?

Well, maybe not. Terrorists are an insult to animals.

Totally blame me for that and offer my apologies-- then ask her if kittens are more tender. :laugh2:

I don't know enough about this story to make a judgment on it yet. We have a couple of cats in a freezer here, but it's because they died of old age and my daughter in law wants to get them cremated. But hasn't had the money for it yet. They are in boxes. She's a major animal lover.

This guy sounds a bit strange with 30 dogs in a freezer.

I pointed at your name on the computer screen , she said, knock it off before you get in trouble! I'm gonna pretend that reply was meant for you..

It's a constitutional monarchy. So I'm guessing they don't have a day of independence. They were liberated by the allies in WWII, so maybe they celebrate VE Day....but seeing as how they surrendered to the nazis after just two hours, any celebratory dish would likely be CHICKEN. ;)

So was mine, only more funny. You could have countered with, I'm surprised he didn't have a freezer full of cats. (Get it?)
If I was to play it straight I'd have said that the traditional Danish meal of smashed meatballs is more like a hamburger than a hotdog....but I didn't say that, because calling the Danes chickens is more fun. :thumb:
