Back from our trip

I hate driving! Left Georgia early last evening and just got home a short while ago. Drove till early AM and crashed in a hotel, then continued at 6, hit some congestion and traffic, dropped off my brother, quick visit to my sister, and then continued on to New York.

What an awesome trip. My brother and I arrived in SC at my Dad's last Saturday. In addition to my Dad and step mom, my brother Dan visited from Aiken and we had great family time till Tuesday. Jeff arrived on his motorcycle Tuesday and it sure was great to see him. We hung around SC for the day and Jeff stayed overnight as well. The next day we all headed to Jeff's place in Georgia. There we added his awesome wife, Laura, into the fun, as well as his 2 boys, Colt and Wyatt. My other nephew, Travis, also came on Wednesday night to visit for awhile. It was fantastic to have the entire family together. The only missing piece of the puzzle was my sister from NJ.

As usual, these types of trips pass by far too quickly. First I was saddened when my Dad and Dan headed back to SC midday yesterday. Then John and I had to say goodbye to Jeff and family last night. I'm not good with goodbyes and it always brings a tear to my eye that I need to hide, and then I feel sick with a pit in my stomach for a few hours. I sure do wish we all lived closer together, or could see one another whenever we wanted. It sure did help to come home and see my family, and my dogs! It's only a week, but I missed the wifey and son. Too many emotions for one week.

I'll update more on the trip later tonight, as well as post a ton of pictures. I need some food in my belly and some time to unwind.

Dam Jim I wish y'all didn't have to leave, we had a good day today but man it is quiet here tonight ( to quiet ) the boys are at a friends house so man did the house empty out,We really enjoyed y'all being down here and can't wait for it again, the boys enjoyed those talking guys also :laugh: Wyatt was really taken with the NY/NJ accent , you would think he never heard it before but I guess as young as they are and as little as they hear it I guess it must seem strange, OK man waiting on the next trip.

That is my brother Dan (who doesn't post anymore), then John (aka Sir Evil), and then me and my stupid haircut, which needs further cutting as it's all turning grey! The last one of course is Dad. I'm waiting on more pictures as Dad and Laurie took some of the entire family together.
