Kudos to this young man for not following in his fathers footsteps.

I predict that young man will do well in life and its obvious that he had a great mother to have raised him like that. I have a nephew that was raised without a father , he is the one that served two tours of duty in Iraq as a lieutenant in charge of security squads primarily. He turned out well as well although having been raised without a father. I taught he and my other nephew Michael how to shoot and hunt, took them target practicing with my many guns all thru their teenage years. I like to think that my many words given to them all thru their childhood helped. They both as adults have thanked me but I chalked it off to my just being a good uncle. -Tyr

Gracious young man indeed, gracious elderly widow too. Great post!
