Rhode Island has a cute sweetheart deal with BCBSRI. Employers, even consulting companies are pressured into offering HIGHER PRICED policies. If you turn that down, you must go uninsured. Apparently, RI is somehow exempt from breaking up this sweetheart deal.

If you do not qualify for lower costs in the Marketplace, and your employer does not pay part of your premiums on the Marketplace, be sure you take these things into account before you consider choosing a plan other than your employer’s.

RI still says you take what your employer offers at an elevated price FOR THE SAME EXACT POLICY or go uninsured. BCBSRI has a MONOPOLY in RI.

Residents of Rhode Island
To those who do not have the option to purchase medical insurance through their employer
(however, we can sell dental insurance to those on employer-sponsored medical plans).
To those currently insured who are expecting to lose coverage
