Loved this movie. Tom Hanks is fantastic, and the Somali pirate captain is also very good. You should see it.

We don't know the truth, but I found this from the article to be an interesting reason why some of the crew, who filed lawsuits, might just have it in for Phillips:


After the hijacking, 11 crew members have sued Maersk Line and the Waterman Steamship Corp. for almost $50 million, alleging “willful, wanton and conscious disregard for their safety.” Phillips is a witness for the defense.

We don't know the truth, but I found this from the article to be an interesting reason why the crew who filed lawsuits might just have it in for Phillips:
No we don't know the truth, but the evidence points to Phillips being exactly what these several crew members are saying. Phillips has every incentive to lie, they do not.

Personally. I could care less whether the story is true, or false. I enjoyed the movie, and remembered meeting Navy Seals while I was still on active duty who MAGICALLY APPEARED on our ship one night during some classified operations.

Of course. Being a Navy veteran makes me see things much differently than most civilians.

So. I will leave it at that. Captain Phillips, and Tom Hanks were a pleasure to watch.
