Umbrella Men: Neville Chamberlain and Barack Obama . http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=56&load=8861 Can personal charm stop a dictator? That's what Neville Chamberlain thought he was going to do, when he implemented Plan Z. Of course it didn't work, and World War II happened in spite of Chamberlain's charisma and personal likability. It was Winston Churchill, the pompous and grumpy stalwart, who actually fought the war.

In this Afterburner, Bill Whittle uses this lesson from history as an allegory to discuss how President Obama assumes he can handle foreign relations Click the link for that video, one of twelve. It points out what Obama is and why he will cause our downfall one way or another. A very informative video titled, - Umbrella Men: Neville Chamberlain and Barack Obama --Tyr

Tyr. Problem is. And I agree with what you are saying. But...considering the LACK of our educational system, and how uninformed so many of the teachers really are today.
Most would probably shrug that off, saying they have no idea who Chamberlain was, and it didn't matter to them because...IT'S OLD HISTORY they never learned, and don't need to learn.

You know what I am trying to say.
But the sad truth is. As the saying goes....

"Those who ignore history are bound (or doomed) to repeat it"

Chamberlain have been personable, but he was also quite ignorant. Why else would he give away half of Europe to Hitler? I hope British history reflects him as a fool.

and I am positive Obama (and his followers) will also be portrayed as a fool as he is giving away so much to Islam and terrorists. He sees terrorism as a crime and not an act of war

He ignores Iran building a nuke while he targets Americans for their political beliefs

Yea he is Chamberlain 2.0

He is also turning America into a part time workforce while increasing the number of takers to unsustainable levels

Was just reading what you quoted from gabby. And yes, Chamberlain is considered a fool by British and American history. History teaches us a lot about what to do and not do. If you bother reading history you can learn about the rise of fascism and communism, and the methods used to achieve their goals. And compare them to today. The names change but the tactics remain the same. Communism, fascism, democrat.

After destroying the economy it has to be rebuilt. That is done with slave labor camps. This isn't done over night, it takes years and years. It also take the cooperation of the truly ignorant and the purposely ignorant (liberals) to make it work. What is being established now is the politburo. That is your historical word of the day. Research it.

Gaffer. While I totally agree with just about everything said on this thread. There still remains an Underlying, Unmentioned cause that is growing daily. And that cause is...in my opinion. The new lack of willingness for ANYONE to actually bother reading...any more than their Email, Tweets, or Facebook Friends lists of favorite TV, and Musical stars.
In other words. Due to the lack of proper Educational Teaching practices...not found on a I-PHONE, or on the YOUTUBE screen of their Laptop. But actual Subjects of study, as most of us OLD, TIRED, USELESS folks were taught...in a school, with books, and caring Teachers.
Until we get human beings to actually learn to Communicate...FACE-TO-FACE again, instead of sitting next to each other...TEXTING quietly in abbreviations.
WE ARE ALL GOING TO FAIL, AND FAIL BIG.

Remember they already know it all. Obamaism is just a mixture of fascism and socialism will a different cover applied to fool the masses and could have never been pulled off 40 years ago when the socialists/leftists did not control the media like they do now. They destroyed education here to get us to this point and during that process they rewrote and vilified the history of the world and that of this nation like no other.--Tyr

He'll change it to the United Soviet States of America. With a name change he won't have to deal with that pesky Constitution.

A few Lefties might disagree (.. but, that's Lefties for you) ... but, yes, British history does exactly that.

Churchill's greatness is in part measured by his being so different to Chamberlain. Although ... then again, the truly greatest of our politicians have been Conservative ones, so of course being a Conservative is itself quite an advantage ...

Churchill was like Ronald Reagan when it came to national defense

Churchill's greatness is in part measured by his being so different to Chamberlain. Although ... then again, the truly greatest of our politicians have been Conservative ones, so of course being a Conservative is itself quite an advantage ... That advantage consists of being the group that most often holds the sword of justice in one hand and the shield of honor in the other. No other political group even comes close to that level. What has happened is that the leftist opposition has infiltrated in fake conservatives to divide the base of the Republican party. Not just there but actually have planted candidates that maintain their cover for years until they gain enough power and influence to do great damage. The current Republican party leadership has many such lying traitors.. The Dems have been waging this as a war since the 60's while we have been going along as if its politics as usual. Politics as usual didn't give us the many very real scandals we have seen from Obama and the illegal use of the IRS TO PUNISH HIS POLITICAL OPPOSITION AND NSA TO SPY ON EVERYBODY. Yet Obama gets away with it and that should scare the living hell out of all of us!!!! -Tyr

It's undergoing its death throes over here, too. Happily, we've a couple of titles that are still reputable. The Daily Mail is one (for the most part) .. the Daily Express, another.

The Mail drew the British Public's attention to the hatred Ed Miliband's father had for Britain (Ed Miliband is the leader of our Labour Party, our mainstream Socialist one). Ed Miliband spent weeks publicly fighting them over it, no doubt hoping to make them cave in, to bully them into retracting everything .. but the Mail has never done that.

http://topconservativenews.com/2013/09/ed-milliband-furious-that-daily-mail-exposed-his-communist-father/

I hope that examples such as this can serve as a lesson to the journalistic standards in the US.
