A nice peaceful religion  Personally I think this is OK, hell if they want to bloody themselves up I will watch  Seriously I watched the video of the happenings in GA and  so hard, this is just all too weird !!!

Ashoura is a bloody Shi'ite Muslim ritual where the men beat themselves to a bloody pulp. The craziness. (WARNING: Graphic Photos and video – Remember, this is all taking place inside the United States)
Once again the annual bloody ritual of Ashura is upon us. Muslims flagellate themselves and their children with whips and chains until bloody to commemorate the death of our President's namesake, Hussein. Why is this savagery tolerated in the US, considering that blood borne illnesses could be hazardous and such? But it's more important to adhere to and to respect the sharia and not offend Islam. That is the priority.

It will be fascinating to see what happens if anyone films a child being bloodied during this lunacy. Will the state have the courage to step in and charge the parents with child abuse, or will they turn a blind eye for fear of reprisal?

These are the same ones that will strike here in the US if iran gives the order or is attacked. This is just a small example of how fanatical these nuts are. Just think about a country with nukes run by the likes of these guys.

I agree. These people are sick.

Please don't call this an Islamic ritual. It is nothing of the sort.

Qatar 100,000 10Yes, Shia are muslim in that they follow the Qur'an and the example of Mohamed just like the Sunnis do. All this extra 5h!t they believe in are add-ons based on post-mohamed politics. What Jafar is saying is that none of this nonsense is based on anything that Mohamed did, said, or endorsed.

So if the Shia and the Sunni are off the path isn't that the vast majority of Islam ?

When did I say the Sunni were on the wrong path? When you stated Islam does not command or condone the murder of innocent women and children. Are you now saying the Sunni's doing that and those supporting that murdering policy are doing Allah's will? I find it strange that Islam which to its very core is about total submission turns a blind eye to the hundreds of millions Muslims that do just the opposite! Perhaps you can explain that massive contradiction to we that see it as Islam sacrificing peaceful principles that it champions to the West in order to further spread its territorial powers.. (Syria being a prime example of that, was not Islam flourishing under the Assad regime?) Sure it was but Assad is being replaced like the other leaders were that did not and would not go along with this extremist push to force in the worldwide Caliphate. With Egypt and Libya being two other prime examples of that IMHO. Islam since the days of Mohammad has been a quasi religious, political and military movement. That's the definition Islam goes to extremes to hide wit its erroneous Religion of Peace title. IMHO. Its history shows just the opposite to be true. -Tyr
