Man this guy just can not open his mouth without telling a lie , in his mind he is one stand up good guy

According to the New York Post's Page Six (http://pagesix.com/2013/11/27/president-admits-obamacare-not-the-smart-political-thing-in-letter/), President Obama used the term "tea-bagger" in a letter response to a Texas teacher, Thomas J. Ritter. Ritter wrote a letter to President Obama expressing his concerns about the way he, and others in his administration, handles criticism over issues like healthcare.
Ritter reportedly wrote (http://pagesix.com/2013/11/27/president-admits-obamacare-not-the-smart-political-thing-in-letter/):

“I hesitated to write for fear of some kind of retribution .?.?. I watched you make fun of tea baggers and your press secretary make fun of Ms. [Sarah] Palin which was especially beneath the dignity of the White House .?.?. Do the right thing not the political thing. Suggest a bill that Americans can support.” Obama responded with (http://pagesix.com/2013/11/27/president-admits-obamacare-not-the-smart-political-thing-in-letter/):

“I received your letter, an appreciate your concern about the toxic political environment right now. I do have to challenge you, though, on the notion that any citizen that disagrees with me has been ‘targeted and ridiculed’ or that I have ‘made fun’ of tea-baggers. I think a fair reading is that I have gone out of my way to listen to legitimate criticism, and defend strongly the rights of everyone to speak their mind."

Let's take back the vocabulary. TEA-bagger means someone who sends teabags to their elected officials as a Boston Tea Party re-enactment on the installment plan. If some reprobate wants to twist it into some other meaning let that be on them.

It's a nice thought, certainly.

Nonetheless, 'Teabagger', as an offensive term and used as such, has already been around for years. A couple of years ago, I knew of an individual from Las Vegas who claimed to be broadly conservative in his thinking, yet was a member of the Democratic Party and a keen Trade Unionist (.. I keep encountering those 'pseudo-Conservatives' who in reality aren't any such thing) . He used that term, and lost Conservative friends because of it - and in my view, rightly so.

... this going back to 2010 ...

Are we REALLY supposed to believe that Obama was oblivious of the term as an insult ?
