FYI: I'm only posting less because I'm more active participating in live protests, planning which campaigns I will get involved with for the midterms, and generally advancing my ideas in the most efficient way possible. In short: I'm getting more active. I hope fellow conservatives will do likewise. Sorry to discourage visits to your message board Jim, but it's time for everybody to get off their duff and win.

Very cool! You don't have to put pics up of yourself if you don't want, but you should kind of detail what events and things you participate in and share some pictures.

I did this in 2004. I help organize and then participated in demonstrations in NYC prior to Dubya's second coronation at the GOP national convention. We did a couple of mass marches, blocked the streets and debated delegates. The police didn't mind because we were civil. A large portion of the police contingent earned overtime for working.
Good luck with your protests. Make sure they are organized, non-violent and carry a message.
Of course, none of our protests did much good. We pissed off a ton of people and Dubya got re-elected anyway. I doubt any of your protests will do much good. But you will make a lot of lasting friendships and learn about how the political system works.
God bless the American right of civil disobedience. :salute:

Wait, so you were in NYC around 2004? That was the USMB days, I wonder if I had known you yet by that point?

It's interesting that some worthless social worker yelled at my kids for not being in school. Such "caring" GovCo employees.

And yes, we did some good.

I was actually on USMB at that time. I was going to Cal and posted as "blonde by the bay." I detailed many of my protests on USMB and received quite of bit of scorn for my "un-American" protests. Not sure how far back the current USMB archives go, but you might look back and see.

I wish I had known enough back then, I could have showed up and hit you in the head with a snowball or similar! Of course then I would have let you hit me back and then bought you a beer. :)

I have no desire to search, I believe you.

Aren't those two questions the NO-NO's most lied about?:laugh:

I was born a blonde. Like my mom and my sister. After I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, I underwent treatment and took medication that turned my hair almost white and made it very thin. It looked horrible. My sister took me to the makeup department of the movie studio where she works to see what they could do. One of the stylists recommended I dye it and get hair treatments. Which I did.
My mom was horrified. But admitted it looked better than what I had. I refuse to look at pictures of me from that time. My aunt said I looked like a Holocaust survivor. Which is probably close to true.

On another message board I was on at the time, my screen name was "blonde in disguise." ;)

Gabby. I was also once...a blonde, turning gray before my bout with cancer. Lost all of my hair, except for the bothersome stuff that always grows in a nostril.

Now, it has come back, and SILVER.
Never had to lie about my identity...ever.

Who takes their kids to a protest rally? That is totally irresponsible. Not that they are going to learn anything from it.
It is pretty sad when parents start telling their kids what to think.

Union thugs (your union brothers and sisters) not only have their kids participate in strikes, but put them in danger by doing things like making them walk in front of moving vehicles. Of course that's ok when it's for "social justice", right sweetie?

See the link below as an example: Make sure you watch the video.

Every union in this nation should be outlawed and forced to disband by any means possible IMHO. THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN MAFIA TYPE SOCIALIST PLATFORMS USED TO CORRUPT OUR POLITICS ! EVERY ONE OF THEM LAUNDERS MONEY FOR THE DEM PARTY. Endangering their own kids doesn't concern me its the hundreds of millions of other citizens they endanger with their activities that does. And yes I was once a union member for 5 years , left that job and swore to never be a union member again!! So I am not talking without firsthand knowledge of unions and what they do. -Tyr

Lemming guess that you think sending one's kids to school to be told what to think is responsible.

If you send your kids to a private or religion-based school, what are they taught? Kids should go to school to learn.

My parents never told my sister or I what to think. We were left to establish our own beliefs My sister is total apolitical. I formed liberal beliefs.
My husband and I rarely discuss politics. And we never breach the subject with our daughter. A 12-year-old girl should care more about cute pop stars and middle school drama than about politics.
Of course, that has not kept her from developing her own points of voice. My daughter believes all politicians are "stupid people who care more about money than people." She thinks those who fight over politics are "stupid people who need to be hit over the head."
She is quite passionate about animals. I received a not very pleasant call from a mom last week. Apparently her kid has been teasing a stray cat and my daughter objected. My sweet kid told the boy that he deserved to be hit by a car and die.

1) That's not happening in my son's school. He complains that he feels like he is being forced to do sixth grade work from NH in RI seventh grade in spite of being a good student. I have to help him study beyond what the school is teaching. We are moving out of RI this summer, even it it means commuting a few extra miles.

2) That sounds like something YOU would say.

My sons do think for themselves. They show their independence by pushing moderation. My oldest has an English teacher that loves belittling people. She was on my son like a diaper for not covering a text book, threatening detention in spite of my son having already covered the text book which she forgot having seen. I offered to buy a used copy of the textbook from Amazon for $12 so he could write his name on the outside in permanent marker on HIS copy and doodle in it just to drive that English teacher nuts. Once at the principal's office he could show a COPY of the Amazon receipt showing it to be HIS book. My son said the thought made him feel better, but wasn't in the mood to actually do that and cause trouble.

Yeah. ALL OF US CAN TELL gabby. Too bad you are such a phony, and someone your children will emulate.
Friends...if you have any. Must spend little time with you.
