Question for the rest of the guys: Why do you think there are so many of us men who treat women badly? I see so many men in our culture just treat them like crap. So many of my female friends get hurt by guys and i dont get why they act that way. I would never consider treating my wife or daughter or mother or sisters badly. I just dont get it.

I think its because mankind has evolved biologically into emotional beings; the fight or flight response being more common to men and the unrequited caring nurturer more common to women is advantageous to us a species. While control of these emotions is possible, it requires a significant amount of time and effort and often is the case that when these efforts are repulsed they serve as trigger for our natural emotional response.
We live in a world full of emotional triggers and develop behaviors that, first and foremost allow us to survive. While thriving is ideal, when survival itself is perceived as questionable we rely on basic instincts-- eat, drink, and have sex-- and we will take whatever passive or aggressive actions believed most likely to bring that about.
Man uses and develops tools to help attain and maintain stability in our environment; the individual perception of which varies wildly. Some people are just naturally more insecure. So while we may consider certain actions abusive, another may see it as a justified response to a threat on their security.
I don't sympathize with such justifications, I merely seek to explain what drives our actions so that we can learn which tools can be implemented to move beyond mere survival and thrive as a society. I believe God's Word is an indispensable tool in this regard but, alas, actions speak louder and one must walk the walk.

When they took God and prayer out of schools they followed up with teaching kids that Christian morality is wrong. Since then its all gone to hell in a hand basket. Man exists as the physically more powerful of the two sexes so unless there exists some teaching force to teach males to restrain their natural impulse to dominate they will do so. Black men have had a very great effect on how others in this nation treat their women(especially their wives)!! We see it in their music, videos and lifestyles. A moral decay that they possess in abundance. Add to that school teaching crap and presto we have a great many men treating women badly. Parents compensated more for this 50 years ago but since then the following generations were taught its natural. Blacks teach themselves and --others-- that women are bitches and whores to be used and dominated. Other factors exist but these are the major two in our culture. It takes effort (and not a little sacrifice) not to just go with the flow! As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.

I agree with the wife part. When a guy is single and just wants a good time, some women won't want a second date unless you treat them like crap. The one you decide to marry, you shouldn't treat like crap, if for no other reason if she is much younger, she may be the one that selects your retirement home.
