I don't think they should do this. Don't drop to the level of the cretins abusing others. They should work harder with authorities to stop the patrols by muslims. Is that even possible? Is what the Muslims do, stopping and being abusive people - even legal?

I will be curious to see how the "muslim patrols" handle having these guys in their neighborhood. No one "owns" an area outside their private dwelling, and really these guys are only doing what the other guys are already doing.

This was NOT a Muslim bashing thread. This thread was made to point out that the Christians were trying to do the SAME thing as the Muslim patrol, and I even stated from the get go that I didn't agree with them trying to lower themselves to do the same. BOTH groups are 100% wrong and have NO RIGHT at all to tell others what they can and cannot do in a particular neighborhood. And whether the Muslims condemn or not is not the point, as they still exist. The same as myself, or others pointing out or condemning the Christians trying to do the same, doesn't change that they were still out there trying to instigate trouble.

I'm sure they already expect such a crackdown. The only real question is whether the fallout that comes from it will be palpable and major enough for the Government to take any notice of in PR terms.

As an update, while reading further on the subject I see that 5 of these nitwits were arrested and sentenced in December, as well they should have. I don't condone someone trying to emulate them, but from what I saw of the other group, they weren't threatening and such. It appeared more that they were trying to be informational about it. While still confrontational, IMO, it's better than having them going around the area threatening the people who live in the area.


Three of the patrol members were sentenced on 6 December 2013. 19-year old Islamic convert Jordan Horner, who uses the Islamic name Jamaal Uddin, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault and two charges of using threatening words and behaviour, was sentenced to 68 weeks imprisonment. 36-year old Ricardo MacFarlane who pleaded not guilty, was sentenced to one year for affray and two years for using threatening words and behaviour. A 23-year old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty and received a six-month sentence for affray.

I agree with the principle of defending fellow Christians, however it's necessary not to lie down with dogs if one doesn't want fleas. The name George Zimmerman comes to mind. The best thing I can say about him is that there is a reasonable doubt regarding his guilt.
